Is this just another lie from Romney? I thought, out of respect for Hurricane Sandy suriviors, he suspended his campaign? So what's he doing in Ohio and down here in Florida?

Quote
It's unseemly to campaign in the midst of an unfolding natural disaster, but the Romney-Ryan camp was ready this week with a solution: Don't call it campaigning.

Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, the Republican presidential nominee, canceled campaign rallies on Monday and Tuesday. He instead hosted swing-state "relief" events, which included attacks on the president, a video bio of Romney and multiple photo ops in front of boxes of canned goods.

Democrats have called Romney out for pretending he had stopped campaigning. "Hold a campaign rally in a swing state today if you are going to, but don't (*)(*)(*)(*)ing pretend it is doing anything to help storm victims," tweeted Charles Monaco, a Democratic activist.

More proof his his disdain for Americans.

Yes, by setting up his very own, separate donation drive.  Not that using Red Cross, who's in touch with every local, state, and federal official to get items to the most affected areas and has the ability to get those items to those areas in the timeliest fashion, means anything.  No, let's hold our own photo-op drive, despite what the President and those local and state officials said, with regards to donations.

Oh and let's not answer one single question about the 2011 remarks made about gutting and possibly scrapping FEMA altogether...and privatizing it.  Jesus Christ!

The pictures of Obama and Christie, patting each other on the back, walking arm in arm looking at the damage in New jersey are probably enough to make Romney want to climb in a Jeep on the way to China and hide...

You know Christie turned around to Obama and said something like "I'll bet Mitt's shitting his britches watching this right now!"

That's the sad thing, this shouldn't be partisan, but if you flip on Fox it is.  MSNBC has taken a few nyuck-nyuck shots but are generally praising the long over due bi-partisan, non-partisan overall theme.

Not Fox news, they're fuck'in spinning out of control.  I'm waiting for one of them to slip and just out-right say..."What in the FUCK is Gov. Christie doing play'in footsies with a god damn Muslim terrorist!"

I cannot believe this...(actually I can):
Quote
...the Romney campaign hastily transformed a scheduled victory rally in Dayton, Ohio into a non-political “storm relief event” on Tuesday. According to BuzzFeed, the campaign encouraged supporters to bring hurricane relief supplies and “deliver the bags of canned goods, packages of diapers, and cases of water bottles to the candidate, who would be perched behind a table along with a slew of volunteers and his Ohio right-hand man, Senator Rob Portman.”

Just to be safe, campaign aides reportedly spent $5,000 at a local Wal-Mart on supplies that could be put on display. When supporters arrived at the rally-turned-relief event, they were treated to the 10-minute video about Romney’s life, which was first unveiled at the RNC. The event ended with supporters lined up to hand over supplies and meet Romney. But according to BuzzFeed, this donation process was also staged:

Empty-handed supporters pled for entrance, with one woman asking, “What if we dropped off our donations up front?”

The volunteer gestured toward a pile of groceries conveniently stacked near the candidate. “Just grab something,” he said.

Two teenage boys retrieved a jar of peanut butter each, and got in line. When it was their turn, they handed their “donations” to Romney. He took them, smiled, and offered an earnest “Thank you.”

Here's the litmus test.  Would the far right have gone bonkers if President Obama did this? Absolutely.

Mitt has 616 lies in 33 weeks. That is uber epic levels of lying.
Politicians lie, that is a given but Mitt has taken the lie game to Hall of Fame levels. I still don't know how anyone can vote for his lying ass.

I cannot believe this...(actually I can):

that actually stunned me.. everyday, there is something else from this guy that just floors me... because I look around and think "He's really even/above in the polls? How?"..

his Veep faked a goddamn 'homeless shelter' photo-op... nothing from the media on it
he outright lies about jeep-nothing in the polls about it
he faked a 'rally' and set up a fake photo-op...it remains to be seen if it does anything, but I wouldn't hold my breath

it's just an amazing thing to behold..

and after this 'photo-op'... when there wasn't supposed to be any 'partisan politics'.. he was down here in FL and his people we going all out saying Obama leadership sucked, that he went on his 'apology' tour and then Jeb laughed and said Obama likes to blame everything on his brother..

well fucking DUH! your brother fucked this country beyond all recognition... don't think you're going to get away from that when you try and run in 2016...

but the best part was when one of our state reps told people to steal the Halloween candy from the children of any Obama supporters they came across while trick or treating..

Quote
"If you run into one of those Obama supporters on your block, go up to them and tell them you are going to redistribute the candy of their children. And see if they still support that policy then!" he joked.
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2012/10/31/back-on-stump-romney-aims-for-right-tone/

yea.. haha.. he 'joked'... uh-huh sure he did..

how is this guy even close to Obama in the polls?

I have a theory on that.. that I'll post in a second.. Wink

ok.. my 'x-file'..

It's like one day Fox/Ails said "OK, we're just going to say Romney is leading and is guaranteed to win.. then we'll call the election for him like we did in 2000, and no one will ever be the wiser"... because Ails knew that if they just kept saying Mitt was winning/gaining/ and was locked into a presidency win.. other stations would pick it and a kind of 'self-fufilling prophecy would take hold..

and it has... but no matter how much I hear "Oh Romney has this locked".. it just feels fake.. The polls don't show this 'lock'.. but the Right would bet their daughters purity  on it..

look at this Christie/Obama thing... a brietbart article said, in effect, "Let the Gov play bi-partisan with Obama, Romney has already won this election so Christie can afford to seem like Obama's being helpful.. it will give Obama something nice to remember when Mitt is sworn into office"..

Hannity said a similar thing last night "Gov Romney has all but won the election, Barack Obama has accepted his defeat.. and while he knows the Gov is the new president, he still has to keep appearances up by helping Gov Christie..and Christie is just doing what he needs to do to make sure his state gets the help from the gov't that they need"..

it's flat-out bizarre.. and it's fake.. and you can feel it.. it's like you're looking at a picture that just doesn't seem right, like there's a thread of something wrong only you can't put your finger on it... what I don't know is if there is something really truly amiss  or if I'm so stunned Romney could even get the chance to win that I'm seeing things..

is he really up in the polls? (mitt).. One day he wasn't.. then Fox complained the polls were just more LSM skewered.. and then all of a sudden Romney was up in them? like, the very next poll... Is Fox really capable of this kind of 'faux-election' stuff and getting the results they want? Can they accidentally of course(yeah righht), call the election for Romney.. because look at how they've been saying for weeks know Romney's already won and Obama's already conceded..and then hope the supreme court rules in their favor again? or worse.. a tie and the winners picked by congress are Romney/Biden?

I think they can..

but either way, the gloating on the Right is so very very "Off"..

Politics has always been about choices.  The policies that any one person campaigns on proves that.  Whether it's pandering, being a shill for lobbyists or the biggest donors, or an earnest belief in something, politicians every 2, 4 and 6 years hit the trails and hope we'll buy what they're selling or believe in their belief.  "I can do it better than my opponent, give me the chance to prove it or, I've done it better than my opponent ever could."  Sounds sexual, eek.

Now however?  That's not the message.  Now the message, the underlying/overt theme is, "Pick that guy over there? Yea, the world ends.  The sky will split in two and America...will be no more."

There's this blind hatred that's invaded politics, trying not so cleverly to mask itself as just normal hard fought campaigns.  There was always these wack-a-do's, the people in the crowd, supporters who are the over-the-top fanboys, spouting the most crazy shit.

Ideological sycophants who embarrass their same party counterparts, who wish they'd just shut the fuck up and quit being the potential party representative that someone of the opposition, or someone not affiliated with any party, might talk to.  "Oh Jesus Christ, Bob's over there talking to the new campaign workers! Get over there now and get them away from him before he runs them off!"

Ohhhh, not now though.  Bob's the guy who's running for fuck'in office!  The bat shit crazy guy who people begrudgingly tolerated because he was another vote, is the frigg'in representative voice of reason! Holy Shit!  The guy who talked about communist infiltrations in Government, his hatred of all things opposition, of a President not really being American, how politics is outright war, how he's proud of gridlock in congress and the senate because it keeps a "mad man" at bay, how anyone who isn't Christian or Republican can't be trusted...ever, any effort to compromise is tantamount to treason and compromise is NEVER an option, how being wrong about something or distorting a truth isn't really dishonest or in error...if you don't believe it is, or it's for a *greater good*.

Yup.  That asshole, right there, he want's to be the person with the legislative authority to pass laws.  That guy.  The one you prayed wouldn't come over to say Hi if he saw you out and about...and if he did...you doubled down on your prayer that he wouldn't talk politics in front of your friends.  He's become 'acceptable'.  Hell, he's not just acceptable...he's preferred.  Welcome to a post President Obama landscape.  He exposed an underbelly, long since denied, that IS alive and well in this nation.  His mere presence in the oval office, before he did a single thing as President, called to the forefront every crazy muther fucker and put their ignorance on display, unashamedly, because all the other crazy muther fuckers and the ones previously embarrassed by them...united into one gigantic ball of crazy.  Validating one another, like kids validate one another. Since they agree it would be cool to light gasoline on fire, the consensus makes it legitimate and reasonable.

I just wanted to rant.  My arms and hands are tired today and I figured if I was going to exhaust them for the remainder...I'd do it here.

I just got off the phone with a VP of a pretty big company who started to tell me that he and his company were so hoping that Romney wins next week so that the economy doesn't go totally into the shiter.  He's also apparently worried that if Obama wins that the US currency will totally collapse and China will take over the world.   WTF?

But Romney can't be held accountable for any of his constant lies because it's church dogma.  "Lying for the Lord refers to the practice of lying to protect the image of and belief in the Mormon religion, a practice which Mormonism itself fosters in various ways. From Joseph Smith's denial of having more than one wife, to polygamous Mormon missionaries telling European investigators that reports about polygamy in Utah were lies put out by "anti-Mormons" and disgruntled ex-members, to Gordon B. Hinckley's dishonest equivocation on national television over Mormon doctrine, Mormonism's history seems replete with examples of lying. Common members see such examples as situations where lying is justified. For the Mormon, loyalty and the welfare of the church are more important than the principle of honesty, and plausible denials and deception by omission are warranted by an opportunity to have the Mormon organization seen in the best possible light. This is part of the larger package of things that lead many to describe Mormonism as a cult. "Lying for the lord" is part of Mormonism's larger deceptive mainstreaming tactics, and conversion numbers would drastically lower if important Mormon beliefs were fully disclosed to investigators."  So when Romney tells his lies he's doing what's best for the church because him getting elected is what is.

This shit is institutionalized fuckin crazy.   How do you justify, or how can you believe in a church that... never mind.  http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=mormon+view+on+lying&source=web&cd=3&cad=rja&ved=0CDYQFjAC&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mormonthink.com%2Flying.htm&ei=Hc-SULHzD4bK9gSB1oAw&usg=AFQjCNHKRs5YWMwzL0CXyQGlnRWwyO1XWQ

I don' get that at all.. why in the hell do 'smart' people believe that kind of stuff.. it's straight 'world daily news'.. hell, even the national enquirer wouldn't print that kind shit for fear of being laughed at.. and yet, a whole swath of people not only believe it, they vote for it...

Chuck makes some awesome points..

It simply amazing to watch..

the scariest thing is.. that is the same thing Palin believes in.. her 'secessionist' church tells them to lie to get into gov't.. so they can bring it down from the inside..

oddly enough you know who else tells their followers to lie to 'get inside'.. and that it's OK if it's for the Lord??  Muslim terrorists..

not kidding.. they are allowed to sleep with women, eat pork, drink alcohol, get tatttoo'd.. all of it, all in the name of Allah if it gets them closer to their God and goal..

he's not 'their' president..

he's the usurper..the illegitimate foreigner  faking his way through...

Trump yesterday.. "“Obviously he wasn’t born in this country or, if he was, he said he wasn’t in order to receive financial aid and in order to have a clear and very easy path into a college or university. Only a very stupid person would believe otherwise.”

see, he can't be real..

he not only go into college, he excelled at it... so he had to have lied, cheated, stolen, faked his way in.. only a stupid person would believe he actually did the work, got the grade, and paid for his tuition..

hannity last night.. is 'sick' that Obama is off campaigning while people are recovering from the storm.. Mitt can campaign because he was really getting canned food to help people, Obama just wanted his picture taken so he didn't look lazy.. Rudy Guilani said Obama wasn't smart enough to rebuild NYC's infrastructure to prevent all the flooding.. He himself never did it when he was mayor because he had other 9/11 important man-things to do, but Obama.. he's in over his head. he's not a leader,he didn't know to rebuild the subway and the roads, he didn't build more nuke plants..

and then Hannity is sickened that Obama was weak and let those SEALS die..he's a traitor. he's not a real president.. how is it that the other media dares to say Fox is wrong? Rudy says Fox has the real inside anonymous source, not the joint chiefs who are afraid to anger Obama, not the head of the CIA who can't say what really happened..he's

and that's when it turns my stomach too much to watch anymore..

respect? the nigger doesn't deserve it.
