Crist's political hat trick: Former GOP governor, independent candidate announces switch to Dem
(CNN) – Former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, who served his state as a Republican then sought office as an independent, tweeted Friday night that he switched his party affiliation to Democrat.
Crist posted to Twitter a photo of himself holding voter registration paperwork and the message, "Proud and honored to join the Democratic Party in the home of President @BarackObama!"

Crist is all about politic game play and moving up, or within. I couldn't have predicted the party move, but it doesn't surprise me. Darf's right. He's an opportunist...always has been. Just follow his career for a look see. People can change their mind, evolve on issues...but like Mitt, Crist *evolves* as a response to polls and wind shifts, not organically.
