ok...easy there on the nine eleven shit from alex...i have not made mention of that issue...nor do i wish too

With that being said...i make no claim that alex is right on any information he professes to have and or broadcast...

This above disclaimer was brought to by...Reasonable Intelligence through Perfection

no.. you don't get to do that. We're talking about his words and their affect on people.. you can't just argue he can't be held culpable if his words incite violence and then say "whoa there Hoss, I make no claim to whether he tells the truth or not"..  of course it's not the truth and that's the point we're making..it's paranoid delusions.. which iirc you've already tried to attack and belittle me for calling it that..and now you give a disclaimer that you're just not going to address one of the reasons I said it in the 1st place?

weak..

very weak..

and you can hold people responsible for their words... just like you can't lie and scream "fire" in a crowded room  and claim "1st amendment,1st amendment"..

the point is he'll selling bullshit, lies, fear and death.. and then asking for someone to protect him, to protect the country, to use their 2nd amendment rights (ok to be fair, that was sharon angle).. and if someone, some crazed fan listens to him and answers his pleas.. then yes, he is culpable.. in court and out. You may have the freedom of speech but you don't have the freedom to be in a room full of hitmen and say "hmmm, ya know.. I think I would give $20,000 to the 1st person who brought me Joe's head".. and when busted on an FBI wired tap say "Hey,  I didn't mean it.. 1st amendment! 1st amendment!"

this is what people like Jones and Beck and Rush are doing... we have always adhered to the principles that there simple are limits to freedom of speech..  you can't just call in a bomb threat to your local Publix when you're angry that Red Bull isn't on sale..there is a threshold b/w speech and creating danger

and they are cracking that threshold every day..

The sheep need tending...the cows need herding...Alex is just a farmer

honestly, you're right there next to him for advocating this kind of bullshit..

I don't think anyone is saying there isn't a time and place for irrationality.. but irrationality has gone mainstream and the people in this country can't handle this type of irrationality.. just look at the Branch Davidians, the hale-bop comet "Heaven's Gate', suicides.. these fools were lead by their local "alex jones" or "glenn beck".. and the only difference between Koresh, J-Jones or Applewhite and Beck/Jones et al.. is that Beck/Jones are on the radio and have a bigger audience..The message is the same tho "they're coming to get you".. "Prepare for war".. "stock-pile guns and food".. "Be ready to kill to save me and yourself".. the only thing missing is the call to "chhhhaaarrge!"

and when that line is crossed..  you're damn right I will blame them.. the same way I blame Koresh and Applewhite..

slippery slope? Nope. just assigning responsibility to the responsible party...  what you advocate is the 'slippery slope'.. assigning zero-responsibility for ones actions is much more detrimental to a society..

Facts are the center. We don’t pretend that certain facts are in dispute to give the appearance of fairness to people who don’t believe them.  Balance is irrelevant to me.  It doesn’t have anything to do with truth, logic or reality. ~Charlie Skinner (the Newsroom)
