TRENDING: Palin and Fox News call it quits
Posted by
CNN's Peter Hamby

(CNN) - Sarah Palin and Fox News have parted ways.

The former Alaska governor and 2008 vice presidential candidate had continued to speak out on politics as a paid contributor to the channel but turned down a recent offer to renew her contract with the network, according to a source close to Palin. Fox News confirmed that Palin will no longer be with them as a political analyst.http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2013/01/25/palin-and-fox-news-call-it-quits/

sources close to Palin make it sound like it was her decision  (offf course they do) but this part sounds like a 'firing'..

Quote
Fox News Executuve Vice President of Programming Bill Shine said in a statement, "We have thoroughly enjoyed our association with Governor Palin. We wish her the best in her future endeavors."

'we wish her well' is what they say when they fire you..

either way, what are poor Hannity and Greta going to do without her.. Cry

Eh, she made her money. Her estimated worth is between 12 and 15 mill, not counting speaking engagements she still occasionally gets (yes, she actually gets paid to speak about nothing still*eyeroll*).  So unless she truly treats her finances in hillbilly fashion...she's set for life.

It's scary to think that someone with so little knowledge of the world around her politically (and in general), was the voice for a movement (inspired it's members), that proved to be a potent political force...that was/is equally devoid in even the most basic political nuance or knowledge there in.  They literally seem to take pride in their limited views or, at the very least, seem not to look at it as a deficiency or disadvantageous.  I hope she fades into ineffectual oblivion and stays there.

I still blame Snow-Snookie for all the vileness and vitriol surrounding Obama.  Someone, ignorant to her ignorance, pulled her aside to tell her that the veep candidate's jobs was to be tougher on the other ticket so the top of  her ticket could remain 'regal' and 'statesmen-like'.. Well, Snow-Snookie ,raised on Jerry Springer and Maury, thought that meant to go out and calling him a terrorist who wasn't born here..and ya know, generally kick him in the balls...She was the 'shock and awe' Veep-candidate not because she had balls or brains but because she was too fucking retarded to understand the difference between attacking someone in a 'gentlemanly, but wounding' way and all-out Geraldo-chair-to-the-face way..

Her ignorance.. or even retardation, allowed the GOP to go into the gutter.. and it's pretty hilarious that the day after Jindal said "we need to stop being the stupid the party" she  gets canned.. I, for one, will be happy to never have to see her 'sneer'  and hear her condescending tone again..

Ha, I didn't pay attention that one thing happened after the other (Jindal's remarks and her non-contract renewal following the remark). I wonder if her non-renewal was the exact day the contract expired...or if Ailes, and the powers that be at Fox, were making a statement, without making a statement, after Jindal's advice?

Either way, the timing is pretty F'in Funny.
