Rep Keith Ellison tells it like it is!

Story here

Quote
Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) and Fox News host Sean Hannity on Tuesday went toe-to-toe in an extremely contentious interview that touched on the looming sequestration deadline, President Barack Obama's spending record and the conservative commentator's party registration.

Ellison set the tone for the interview up front.

"I mean, you know, quite frankly, you are the worst excuse for a journalist I've ever seen," Ellison told Hannity. Ellison accused Hannity of engaging in "yellow journalism" for a reel that was shown earlier in the program that played ominous music over clips of Obama.

The debate, littered with crosstalk, eventually focused on the host's party registration after Ellison said Hannity "shamelessly" represents the GOP.

"I'm not a Republican," Hannity countered, saying he's a registered conservative. "Let me correct the record."

"You are nothing but a Republican," Ellison fired back.

When Hannity later began to ask Ellison about the morality of adding more to the national debt, the progressive congressman issued a damning charge.

"You are immoral," Ellison said.

"I'm immoral? What did I do that's immoral?" Hannity asked incredulously.

"You say things that aren't true," Ellison said.

Ellison is no stranger to heated confrontations with political rivals. During an October debate on a local Minnesota radio station, he called his Republican challenger a "low-life scumbag."

I think he assumed he could shame Hannity or cause him to reflect.  Hannity's number one concern is his paycheck. Trying to get that through to any sense of morality or ethics is a waste of time.

He also assumes much, when calling Hannity a journalist.  He might as well have called him a Statesman or Roads Scholar. The title placement would have meant just as much...oi.

My thoughts exactly.  Calling Hannity, Rush, or Beck a journalist is like calling you a fuckin Olympic athlete.

I think it's more than that.. atleast he prefaced it with 'yellow'.. but even that doesn't describe Hannity,Beck,Rush. They're Baghdad Bob or Hanoi Hannah..

Facts are the center. We don’t pretend that certain facts are in dispute to give the appearance of fairness to people who don’t believe them.  Balance is irrelevant to me.  It doesn’t have anything to do with truth, logic or reality. ~Charlie Skinner (the Newsroom)
