I could not agree more. The stupid politicians who push for this are UnAmerican. It will ruin the careers of many. Rubio needed taken down because he is not elligable to be president as his parents were not born on American Soil. Thus you have a politician that's heart is not wholly in for the American citizen only. The framers were right. You need some distance from your foreign roots to be wholly American. They will throw us all under the bus for a few votes. So I hope we have enough sense to throw them under the bus first. Be patriotic while you can. Our chances are getting thinner all the time.

sure, too bad the 'framers' never 'framed' that.. Rubio was born in Miami, he's a citizen.. the 'parent clause' only applies if one of his parents was citizen and he was born elsewhere.. but that clause it's an issue since he was born here, in good ole America.. .. but this idiot just keeps on going and not a single person corrects him

Yes he was voted for by his people in Florida but I think A. Levy meant if Rubio ever ran for president. He's not elligible. If you think that does not matter in this day and age just look at Rubio. He is a prime example that his loyalties are not with America. His roots are still deep in his parents and himself for Cuba. To be an American your roots must be totally American. Do not allow this rino to throw us under the bus for illegals.

I wonder if the fuckwad means 'totally american' as in, you know, the only 'total american' Indian.. or if he just means 'white' Americans are the only 'total' american..

The irony here is Ted Cruz.. He wasn't born here, he was born in Canada, his father was Canadian.. his mother a US citizen.. Sorts the same scenario as Obama, with the exception that Hawaii was American soil.. We know  the holy-birther-hell that raised.. and we can see it's there against Rubio.. but by contrast, all these republican leaning journals are already telling us Cruz, being born in Canadian, is still a US Citizen.. Hell, Hannity told us so himself.. 

the contortion they are doing over 'well, Cruz is eligible even tho he wasn't born on US soil, his mother was citizen" while still shouting "Even tho Obama's mother was a citizen and he was born on US soil, he isn't eligible" is pretty entertaining..

I try as hard as I can not to be a hypocrite.  I try to stay aware of my positions and will take a moment to donk myself if I'm swallowing/making allowances that are similar in nature to something I'm blasting someone else for.

With that said, it fascinates me (in a leery way) to see the blatant exceptions and sudden Olympic level back flips the tea party types will do to accept a new take or position on something, previously and vigorously defended, by just pretending their defense or like of it was never a part of their ideological/personal equation, as they leap to their new opinion, never looking back.  It's fucking unsettling. 

People change their minds all the time. New information or personal experience tend to do that. But at least most people can explain why they thought the way they did previously and how that view or take changed accordingly.  But these peeps don't ever look back.  They'll never acknowledge that Rubio was their "guy of the moment." They'll never acknowledge they followed party line, despite (for some of them) their prejudiced inclinations to the contrary. "Ain't he Mexican?" "He's Cuban, but he thinks like we think, or at least he acts like it, so he's one of the good'uns." "Oh. Well fuck'in A. 'Merican first, spic last. He's got my torn support!"

They REALLY want to convince us (and themselves) they don't see color, or religion, or ethnicity when adopting positions. They TRULY need *you* to understand that when they decide they don't like something or someone based on policy stance, that it has nothing to do with any of the above, even though those differences are the first thing they run to in overt or round-about ways as they formulate their disagreement...and for the few who keep their opinions and objections free from bigoted insinuations or overtones, initially, they, like their less concerned with appearances fellow tea partiers, eventually and ALWAYS join them.

I've never seen people so vainly intent on proving themselves to NOT be who they are. And always, even with those who think themselves superior, they show their hand.

Opinions that rely in part, or heavily, on prejudice as their framework or base, can't be cleverly *talked around* to validate the origins of your opinion as something else.  We can see that shit from a mile away.
