that's a good read..
it seems like many people knew of this.. especially since it was posted on the irs (or treasury) website.. or more specifically, an 'investigation' was posted.. only no one knew what was being investigated.. which is how it should be. add in that no, the WH shouldn't have known either and you've got nothing but a 'damned if you do,damned if you don't' scandal..
1st. had everyone all the way up and down the ladder have known the full details of the investigation.. the perpetrators would have scrubbed the 'crimes' leaving nothing for the investigators to find.. even local PD don't give away all information to everyone they are investigating and they especially don't give the open-play-book to the people they are investigating..
2nd. Had the WH known all details as they were happening.. the press and partsian congress would have lost their minds claiming the WH was interfering with the non-partisan IG investigation..
hence the 'damned if you do/damned if you don't'... since now the WH didn't know what the exact details were, they just had general sense, the press and partsian congress is losing their minds the WH was trying to cover it up by not being a integral part of the investigation..
But you're right Chuck. all of a sudden people who usually scream "impeachment,cover-up,liars' the loudest at Obama are now begging for patience,fact-finding,slowing down and looking before you leap'...I think some in the GOP were more involved in this than we know... whether they knew all of the investigative details for months and said nothing.. or whatever...? I don't know.. what we do know is that they have been screaming 'impeachment and cover-up' while demanding 'facts' because they claim to have none when it comes to Benghazi.. so they aren't opposed to screaming those things right off the bat, without factual information.. but on this irs issue, they damn sure are afraid to rally the base just yet..

Facts are the center. We don’t pretend that certain facts are in dispute to give the appearance of fairness to people who don’t believe them. Balance is irrelevant to me. It doesn’t have anything to do with truth, logic or reality. ~Charlie Skinner (the Newsroom)
