I Stole This From Tekky

This would be trivial, in another universe. But in ours, it's a problem. It's a problem that reflects a division, that brings with it, a Congress and Senate that mirrors that division and it's ignorance and fear. Scoff all you want, but it got many like minded individuals into positions of legislative authority in both Houses and on Committees.

We have people who aren't just suspect of Government, there to act as stewards, but people who hate Government...running it. People who "aren't quite sure" the President was eligible to be such, walking the halls of the Congress and the Senate as political representatives...and affording a *fake* President *according respect.* The scenario alone would be laughable, if not for the very real consequences involved...because this isn't just about one loathing fear and hate driven rep beating the electoral odds and becoming a Congressperson or Senator, driving the other representatives batty. This is about MANY loathing fear and hate driven reps (and more moderate reps scared to oppose them) bringing our Government to a willful standstill. Not because they require our patience as they implement better solutions...it's to stop solutions they don't want/like...while offering little to none.

Oh, excuse me...they offered *entitlement cuts* (when they're needed most), even bigger tax breaks for the wealthiest (who need it least), ending ACA (40 times) with nothing to replace it (well nothing that will work), reversing Roe V Wade, no realistic Jobs Bill, disenfranchising minority/poor voters. More money to the military that have expressed they don't need it. De-funding ACORN, that hasn't existed since 2009-10, 12 times.

So I guess I'm wrong in that respect. They've done many things...just not things that lead to prosperity for the majority or the growth and real stability of the country. They love it so fuck'in much, they'd rather kill it than see someone else running it. Now that's love!
