The republicans and teabaggers, of course. Let's hope now they can get to work on something other than getting rid of the law of the land and actually pass a real budget and not wait tip Jan to put us through this again.

Oh...one of the idiots on JPP is saying that the teabaggers gracefully are allowing the vote.

The contortions are amazing.  They're hero's for bringing us, again, to the brink of credit default, for trying to repeal, delay, or further fudge up a law deemed constitutional, by using non-legislative means and processes in a "do it...or boom!" all or nothing ploy.  They're the Patriots.

Now the latest spin, that might be the most fuck'in brazen I've seen yet in reality distortion, is that under President Obama we've almost defaulted twice...it's his fault. Not only of leadership, but his inability to accept his role as the person most responsible for the defaults happening.  You can't, even on the most wonderfully potent hallucinogenic drug cocktail imaginable, make this shit up.  You just can't.  It's literally like your neighbor lighting your house on fire and then doing everything in their power to prevent you from putting it out...then, after you finally get it out, the damage done...the neighbor looks at you and says,...

"Jesus Christ...do you know how much smoke damage my and Mr. Smith's house took from your god damned house fire?"

"But you wouldn't let me put it fuck'in out!"

"I think you know that's besides the point Bill. You need to own this."

"What THE fuck?"

hahahahha....

here's the best part in all of it..

you know how it was Ted Cruz who started it all.. in the House. No one has realized that he's a senator, not a house member, and when it came to the CR vote 2 weeks ago, he decided to talk for 24hrs but then went right on ahead and voted for what he then ran to the House and threatened everyone who voted like him, with a primary..

and yet, he's the 'hero'..?

he fucking caved 1st.. he knew his 'leadership' would rip him a new asshole and he'd destroy his image so he ran over to the House and demanded they tow the line he just fucking dropped..and then hid behind the House GOP while yelling "That's right, kick them in their Liberal balls!!"..while they took the punches for him

now he's the Tea Party darlin'..?

amazing.

Know what's crazier?

Cruz can be elected Speaker of the House. Isn't that third in line to the presidency?

Second actually ( I do believe), right after the Vice President.

And so it continues. Found this on da webs regarding the shutdown...*direct quote*

"Hey, you low information voters - it was Your dictator in charge who has closed the memorials, stopped the death benefit payments to the military families (all he had to do was SIGN THE STINKIN' BILL. What the hell took him so long?) and said time after time: I will not negotiate with the republicans."

This is the contortion I'm talking about.  The total realignment of reality concerning the shut down that doesn't conflict with any ideological narrative that may, even for a second, force you to question one iota of anything that might or will cause an ounce of variance.

What the fuck does this person think a "shutdown" means?  I wasn't aware that when you get your power turned off, they were suppose to leave the outlet on for the fridge and microwave. WTF?

I can't ever imagine not questioning my ideology and beliefs from time to time or often.  Very few things in this universe are static and the odds that you've found exactly the set of beliefs, knowledge and ideologies which all align perfectly as absolute truisms are impossible.

I've been seeing that around also... my replies have been..

"Ok, so what was the GOP's 'negotiation'?"

the usual answer is of course "To delay Obamacare, I mean it's not like they were asking for much and he'd done it already for companies"

my reply

"Ok, and if Obama wanted to negotiate something other than that, what was the GOP's reply"..

I don't usually get an answer because of course the answer  is "They would shutdown the gov't"..  which is exactly what they did..

buffoons.. all of them

It's finally turning around. For years we've heard the old folks scream Obama's taking their medicare...

Today I was at the VA (frikkin toothache, loverly pain pills till I get a root canal) and some ancient old man sat down next to me telling me how now the teabaggers won't give us a raise this year and how they're taking away our medicare and VA benefits and what slimeballs they are...

I just nodded and agreed. Smiley

I've said it before and I'll say it again.  When the reality you imagine or have crafted, collides headlong into the reality that actually exists, you have one of two choices.

1. Add the new reality to the one you've been imagining or crafting and make adjustments accordingly, no matter how bitter sweet, how altering.

2. Completely ignore the new (or just discovered) reality and continue to exist in a smaller and smaller one, where information contrary to your preferred take, leaves you ever more oblivious and ignorant.
