Why would I be? He wasn't calling me a cunt with malicious undertones.. he wasn't threatening me.. he wasn't really doing anything other than saying 'shock-value' word..
malicious undertones? who makes that call? How would you make that a rule?
1. "Don't use cunt in a malicious manner?"
2. "As long as you are not calling someone a cunt directly, you may say it as an exclamation?"
3. "it's ok to call yourself a cunt?"
With that type of rule set, I guess people could say "Man, I acted like a cunt today", or "oh man, I really hope I don't I get very cunt-y."
Does this same standard apply to other words? I am sure you can think of all the major ones. I can ASSURE you, that with your standard we would get the big 3 quite often, claiming they just said the n-word etc "in exclamation, not threatening anybody"
And that excuse wouldn't be good enough.
You can say what you want. Our admins and our mods don't use that type of language, and we have routinely told others to knock it off. At your board here, people seem to have full license to say whatever mean language they wish so long as they know the right people. And idiots like tekky who I am now overjoyed to be free of clap their hands gleefully.

again, you can pretend this isn't true... but that would simply be dishonest. The question I have is.. why do you want those types of people to ruin it for others? Why don't you want a successful forum where anyone and everyone can come along and for the most part, enjoy their visit?
JPP offers freedom. Now I am not here to plug the site and I respect your space, most of the time I come to either talk about survivor or because howey incessantly tweets me something that has no relevance. That said, some can handle the freedom, others can't. For those that are offended or dislike certain members, we offer a wealth of options - posting on APP, the ignore feature, the thread ban feature, etc.
At the end of the day, people there make their own experience, and the most ironic thing of all is that 90% of the time, those that have the biggest issues with people, are also the ones the habitually engage them. I have zero sympathy for those individuals.
Lastly, you wouldn't know the first thing about running a successful forum. This is your internet hide-y hole. You don't have more than a handful of members with more than 30 posts. You have never been in a situation where you have had to appease everybody, and craft rules that doesn't interject bias. JPP has had more posts in the last 2 weeks than likely your forums entire existence. October alone we had 30,000.
So you can play patty-cake all you want over here and talk about the "not bad" use of the word cunt. You can have your admins shout it from the rooftops, and tekky and the other mouthbreathers can be safe and secure knowing that it was totally ok, just a joke. Im fine with that, I am happy to be rid of them.
You can sit on your high horse with howey, and complain all day long about how big money made a post with links that weren't clickable, while regaling about the time howey posted a picture of someones residence along with all their address info.
ekg, truthfully, I don't have much against you personally. I really don't. I have never had a problem with you, so please take into consideration that a lot of what I am saying isn't directed at you personally.
