WASHINGTON — Rep. Trey Radel, R-Fla., was arrested for possession of cocaine, according to court documents.

Radel, a freshman first elected last year, will be arraigned Wednesday in District of Columbia Superior Court. He was arrested Oct. 29 for "unlawfully, knowingly and intentionally" possessing "a quantity of cocaine," according to a charging document from the U.S. attorney's office.

I don't give a shit if someone does drugs as long as it does not hurt anyone else. Since I have done Coke in my day, I would be a hypocrite.
What makes this story so juicy, is of course this asshole voted for welfare recipients to have to take piss tests before collecting their checks.
I guess he would have voted against it, if it included members of Congress.
What a fucking douche.

it's the hypocrisy - I'm sure he would have voted for tougher prison terms if he had the chance; and like you said he wants welfare recipients to be tested.

And if he had been a young black man, his ass would be in prison right now; he wouldn't be out on probation.

not like he's been out campaigning to make drugs legal.

Weiner got hounded out of office - and he did nothing illegal. This guy should leave office.

If he stays - sets a hell of a precedence for others.

Of course, wasn't it Vitter who got busted with a prostitute and kept his office??

When the story broke on Anthony, Show you my Wiener, Wiener, Dems came out for and against him pretty much from the beginning. Ultimately, his continuing BS and lying put the nail in the coffin.  He was under zero obligation to leave, since he broke no laws (as was said) but the continual embarrassment, from the continual BS was it's own deciding factor in the end.

So what do we have here? Not a peep. Not a sound.  Rather than rail on his hypocrisy or his inability to control himself, while a duly elected member of Congress, they'd rather stay mum and hope media just let's it die, quietly, instead of demanding better of their party members.

And you're right...his position saved his ass. Let'em eat cake.
