Paul Ryan's a Rino, Boehner grows some balls and McConnell pussies out

The implosion of the Republicans is starting to take down their biggest names.. They've weeded thru the Palins, 'I'm not a witch' O'Donnell, and 'magic-vagina-juice prevents rape' Akin.. So the only thing left are the big-boys.. and right now, the biggest of big are going at it...
Paul Ryan did the unthinkable.. he compromised with a Democrat and worked out a budget that gives a little and takes a little.. and now he's paying a huge price for it with his schizophrenic party...
John Boehner, when asked about how he felt about the Tea-Party that was already crashing the bill before it had even been read, finally finding his sac and replied angrily..
Quote
""You mean the groups that came out and opposed it before they ever saw it?" he said in a response to a reporter's question.
"They're using our members and they're using the American people for their own goals. This is ridiculous," Boehner said loudly. "Listen, if you're for more deficit reduction, you're for this agreement."
..
Paul Ryan aka Ayn Rand sycophant, aka VP candidate in last election..is being slaughtered by his party's 'fringe he used to embrace'..The anti-tax Club for Growth, Heritage Action for America, Americans For Prosperity, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) Rand Paul (R-Ky).. plus conservative media are all coming at him with daggers..mind you,
all before they'd even read it
.. just the idea of a 'compromise' incensed them..
but finally... the Pièce de résistance..
Mitch McConnell in the senate, who could have finally broken away from the nut jobs and reacquired his dignity (not to mention his balls).. decided that he to is against this budget.. saying he'll vote against it..
I don't know where they go from here..but the GOP is in trouble that's for sure..

LOL Boehner's on fire..
Quote
Speaker of the House John Boehner lobbed a fresh grenade Thursday in the ongoing civil war within the Republican Party, decrying conservative outside groups who have stymied him at nearly every turn over the last year.
“Frankly, I think they’re misleading their followers. I think they’re pushing our members in places where they don’t want to be. And frankly, I just think that they’ve lost all credibility,” he said at a press conference. “They pushed into this fight to defund Obamacare and to shut down the government. Most of you know, my members know, that wasn’t exactly the strategy that I had in mind. But if you recall, the day before the government reopened, one of the people that — one of these groups stood up and said, ‘Well, we never really thought it would work.’ Are you kidding me?”
Boehner also defended the bipartisan budget deal that will be voted on Thursday. ”I thought it was my job and my obligation to stand up for conservatives here in the Congress who want more deficit reduction,” he said. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that the budget deal would reduce deficits by roughly $85 billion over the next 10 years, although it does increase discretionary spending over the next two years while undoing some $63 billion in scheduled across-the-board cuts.

Boehner - is standing up to his members? Jeez, warn me! I just about fainted when I read his comments!
And McConnell is voting against the deal? Way to pander to the primary voter, McConnell! Ok, they say he doesn't want the sequester cuts rolled back. Guess he never learned to compromise when he was in kindergarten.
This deal is nothing earth-shattering. It's barely a budge from the status quo. But it gave them an opportunity to act like adults; and once again, Tea Party, Heritage Foundation, et al prove they are spoiled babies.
Hey wait - are they suffering from that "affluenza" thing? hmmmmm

Ah, so the creator finally decides to fight back against their creation?
There's either a grand(er) design here we're not catching or Boehner is finally tired of making excuses for the more extreme element in his party, who view any compromise as surrender. I'd like to believe it's the later...we'll see.

So it passed the House... but now the Senate GOP plans on filibustering their VP candidate's bill..
wow..
Quote
Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), the ranking GOP member of the Senate Budget Committee, said Thursday that Senate Republicans plan to filibuster the budget deal that House Budget Committee chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) cut with Senate Budget Committee chairwoman Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA).
Quote
Senate Republicans largely seem unified against the bill. As of late Thursday, not one Senate Republican confirmed suppot of the plan.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell will vote against it, and Senate Minority Whip John Cornyn and GOP conference chairman John Thune have indicated their opposition to it as well. Sen. Pat Roberts (R-KS) has said he opposes it. Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Marco Rubio (R-FL), Rand Paul (R-KY), Mike Lee (R-UT), Jeff Flake (R-AZ), and Sessions each oppose it too.
Sens. Bob Corker (R-TN), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Kelly Ayotte (R-NH), and Roger Wicker (R-MS), who usually support similar measures, have each announced their opposition.

Glenn Beck attacks ‘worthless’ John Boehner
“
I think John Boehner is one of the prime examples of worthless, worthless Republicans,”
Beck said Thursday on Mark Levin’s radio show. “All these people saying, ‘Hey, the Republicans aren’t as bad,’ no. I think they actually might be worse, because they claim to be something that they’re not.”

Beck told
Levin, who called Boehner “utterly feckless,” that Boehner and those like him “have got to go.”
“I will not vote for another Republican who is just a Republican who says, ‘Well, you know, we got to do what we got to do.’ No we don’t, we have to take a stand,” Beck said, citing Sens. Mike Lee (R-Utah) and Ted Cruz (R-Texas) for standing up.
The pair advocated a strategy for defunding Obamacare that led to the government shutdown in October.
“They’re heroes,” Beck said.
“Meanwhile, the John Boehners and the Mitch McConnells of the world are trying to take Ted Cruz and Mike Lee and destroy them. Mitch McConnell is the biggest two-faced liar I’ve ever seen. I’m sorry; I have no respect for them.”

Hell yea they're pissed. You don't stand up to crazy, you do what it says...or else.
They want the Government on its knees. They want it gasping, because that's the only way they perceive it can be...fixed. Break it to fix it. The Tea Party swept in in 2010 and the only thing of actual note they championed was de-funding of practically everything, and slaying that dragon the ACA...oh, and all things associated with impeaching/derailing/mocking President Obama.
They sure didn't try to bust balls on campaign finance reform, or term limits, or Jobs bills that penalized the shit out of Corporations for sending Jobs abroad, or infrastructure repair, or a REAL Jobs bill at all, or raising our import fees, or backing Elizabeth Warren's efforts to reign in shitty, gouging business practices, or backing a return of Glass-Steagall (fuck that weak ass Volcker crap), or a bunch of other things...practical things that would make a difference in the short and long term.
Nope...they're no different than those they complain about. They let the lobbyists tell them what to do and they do it. They let the think tanks and groups with agenda's tell them what to do and they do it. They want a Plutocracy where the Government is the thrall of Capitalism, the most monied, not the average citizen. Because *making it* means you MUST be better than everyone else, smarter, more in tune...so why shouldn't you listen to and do everything they say? They want every safety net that's been paid into, funneled through the hands of private enterprise. The Government's primary concern should be the military...and that's pretty much it.
You don't make a living wage? Fuck you, you should have been a CEO. Everyone's a CEO? Fuck you, you should of been a King. Everyone's a King? Fuck you, you should of been an Emperor. And don't think for one second they wouldn't defend the NSA if any one else (namely ultra-conservative) was at the helm other than President Obama.
Principles forged from spite aren't principles, they're spite masquerading as a value. This also applies to fear and anger that form your agendas. Worry is a long way from fear and agitation is a long way from anger...but they don't see a difference, it's all the same thing.

I think the 'sane' GOP'ers are starting to figure that out.. I think the shutdown brought all the 'let's break it,let's kill it,now that a blackie is charge, let's destroy it' to the surface in a way that they couldn't deny anymore.. before that I think the 'sane' part of the party thought it was all liberal media hype.. not to mention fun to fuck with the Dems while they held 2/3 of the power

of course not.. the same way they didn't try and limit anti-abortion bills or gay marriage bans... it's OK for the gov't to live in your bedroom and your vagina.. but your bank account? your gun box? Oh Hell no!
this is the exact reason I cannot, nor will I ever, stand with 'libertarians' or 'small government' Pols... Ron Paul was my last 'look' at the idea of a libertarian and he had me interested right up until he went 'anti-abortion' and 'anti-gay marriage'... you simply cannot be for smaller govt'.. a gov't that stays out of your life.. a gov't that's only function is to keep you safe from other nations AND tell people who they can love or what they do with their body.. I don't care how they try to square that circle, it just don't work

I still cannot understand how they've sold that shit sandwich to the masses.. This idea that the 'job creator' and the top 1% are somehow omnipotent.. How did they sell it so well? Is there something embedded into our DNA that makes us believe that one day it'll be us in that 1% so we better take care of them now or else who will take care of us when we get there? I'm beginning to wonder if the idea of the "American Dream" was just as much as a decoy as "you'll get 40 acre and a mule if you just vote Republican" was..
