http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/12/27/us-usa-security-aclu-idUSBRE9BQ0DA20131227I wonder if he made the ruling before or after he wiped his ass with the Constitution. If I had a couple 100k to blow, I would hire someone to follow this asshole around 24 hours a day with a camera and live stream his life. The other thing I liked is he played the old 911 terrorist card, which can be used for an excuse for anything. I am going to stop paying for my car and tell the bank, sorry can't pay, 9-11 dude, Bin Laden terrorist, 'Merica, Fuck Yeah and then drop my phone as I tell them I am out!

I don't like it being so non-discriminatory. What I mean is...they're doing it the lazy way, which is also the intrusive as hell way. Just give us ALL the data and then we'll go backwards and see if anythings going on. I could be a great detective too, if I could just take EVERYONES info, without restriction, and then comb it all at my leisure. For the 99.99 percent of us not doing a damn thing wrong, they don't need to know I think my next door neighbor has great boobs or that I think Rick Scott is a douche bag!

Damn, UL, now I have to tell your neighbor what you think of her/him...

If only those terrorists didn't use cell phones to plot destruction of our country...

So following that rational. Sometimes drug dealers transport drugs up their ass. So legal officials should make every person bend over and spread their ass checks, in order to catch one or two people who are drug mules. They used to have to do police work and then get a warrant to tap someones phone.

shit.. they haven't had to do that since Oct 2001.. with passage of the Pat act.. haven't you heard of 'stop and frisk' for just being black and outside? warrant-less 'no knock' searches of your home? holding people without charge or representation indefinitely? why should we be surprised that can listen to our phone calls.. this country surrendered to fear on 9/11/01... Bin Laden won and he never even knew it..

Facts are the center. We don’t pretend that certain facts are in dispute to give the appearance of fairness to people who don’t believe them. Balance is irrelevant to me. It doesn’t have anything to do with truth, logic or reality. ~Charlie Skinner (the Newsroom)

Absolutely. Bin Laden did win. Not that there wasn't anything to react to, obviously there was. But we surrendered our common sense, along with reasonable expectations of privacy. It's the ole, "Well, if you're not doing anything wrong, what are you worried about?" That argument opens a lot of doors that aren't to the benefit of the average citizen...but more intrusion.

Drug dealers don't have the capacity to burn down two towers and kill 3k people. Welcome to the 21st century.
