So this has been going on for awhile now.. it's been a 'hushed' scandal that hasn't really made it big time because it was just rumors,maybe's and innuendos..

here's the gist of what happened..

A (D) mayor didn't jump up high enough to endorse Chris Christie's re-election last Nov.  As a pay back Chris Christie's chief of staff, his appointee to the Port Authority and another high ranking Port boss Chris appointed all conspired to fuck-up the life of that (D) mayor by closing down  a few lanes on the Jersey side of the Washington bridge.. the largest thorough-fare into NYC from NJ.. and they did it the 1st day of school and they did it for 4 days..

the resulting 'traffic'.. made 1000's late to work and school.. forced the (D) mayor to bring in cops for 'overtime' for those 4 days to help with traffic.. and it delayed 911 emergency calls including a missing child..among other headaches.. not to mention was something Christie's people planned to use against this mayor in his re-election bid this year

So Ok.. the 'rumor' was again that Christie's people did it just to be dicks to a guy who didn't endorse him (to be fair, the guy never said he wouldn't endorse him either..but Christie's ppl just assumed he wasn't going because he was a (D) ).. But, like the "Cheney leaking Plame's name just to be a dick to her husband who didn't agree with the Iraq war'.. it was just hard for people to take seriously.. You know the kind of rumor that's plausible and crazy at the same time? So until there's more to it, you just kinda forget about it and just grumble "I wouldn't put it past them" in a kind of way..?

well Lo and Behold.. today there is actual proof of just how fucking petty that Tony Soprano wannabe is.. Emails have been found proving that Christie's people, his highest ranking 'cabinet members', not on conspired to retaliate against that (D) mayor, but they did even after being warned of how extremely bad it would be for the people of Jersey..

"Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee," Deputy Chief of Staff Bridget Anne Kelly wrote in an email on Aug. 13.

"Got it," replied David Wildstein, who was then one of Christie's top aides at the Port Authority, which is run jointly by New York and New Jersey.

A month later Wildstein did indeed create the traffic problems that Christie's office requested. He closed down two of Fort Lee's access lanes leading to the George Washington Bridge, the busiest bridge in the country. The closures came on Sept. 9, the first day of school in Fort Lee, leading to massive traffic jams as bridge traffic backed up into local streets. As a result, police and emergency vehicles were delayed in responding to reports of a missing child and a cardiac arrest.

The closures came just weeks after Fort Lee's mayor, Democrat Mark Sokolich, had appeared to decline to endorse Christie's reelection bid. Sokolich told The Huffington Post in an interview Wednesday morning that he never explicitly told Christie's team that he wouldn't endorse the mayor.

"There were overtures that were made to the effect like, 'Is this something you would consider?' And I don't ever recall getting back and saying no," he said. "I think that was a conclusion that they, in the infinite wisdom of the folks in Trenton, must have reached the conclusion that I wasn't going to. But I never specifically said no."

For weeks, Christie has been denying any involvement in the lane closures and refuting the idea that political retribution was at play. He has stood by his aides' explanations that the lanes were closed as part of a traffic study, even though Port Authority Executive Director Patrick Foye, who was appointed by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D), said he was never made aware of the study's existence.

But the new emails, provided by Wildstein in response to a subpoena from state lawmakers, bring Christie and his inner circle closer to the scandal.

The emails point to clear political motives for the closures, and the officials seem almost giddy at the problems they create.

At one point, Wildstein received a text message from an unknown sender -- the emails are partially redacted -- saying, "Is it wrong that I'm smiling."

"No," replied Wildstein. When the other person added, "I feel badly about the kids. I guess," Wildstein reminded them that their parents are probably Democrats anyway.

"They are the children of Buono voters," said Wildstein, referring to Democrat Barbara Buono, who unsuccessfully challenged Christie in the Nov. 5 gubernatorial election.

She should have been aware of the dangers because she got these cables..  and they know she got them because her signature was on them.. so she let those deaths happen by ignoring the requests made of her.. Clinton testified that the more than 1 million cables that come to the State Department from the field every year are addressed to her and those that go out from Foggy Bottom bear her signature, regardless of who wrote them.

1 fucking million letters come to her department every year and Rand Paul, and the rest of the GOP, expected her to know about each and every one, to have read each and every one, to have acted on each and every one..he said that it was "inexcusable and a dereliction of duty." that she didn't read all of those cables.. I mean, he said her name was on them.. so that means she personally  read and ignored them..

So HRC is directly responsible for the Benghazi attack that killed 4 people because she didn't know about a few cables out of the million she gets every year...doesn't matter that it's a virtual impossibility for to her to have read each and every one of them.. she's to blame..

BUT Christie ISNT to blame when his Chief of staff emails his Port Authority a few times conspiring to close the lanes on the bridge and then both giggle and LOL  in a few more emails over the ensuing chaos they created.. HRC is supposed to be aware of every one of a 1 million cables and their content, but Christie's can't possibly be aware of the dozen or so that came from his innermost circle of subordinates

I do love the silence on this issue from Fox..  the 1st day they spent a total of 15mins on it for a 24hr period.. and those 15mins were "oooo wow he caused a traffic jam rollseyes"  I don't know if they're spending more time on it now, but I'm sure they're still rolling their eyes at the whole thing..
