Tenth year Anniversary Nineth year Anniversary Eighth year Anniversary
« on: January 08, 2014, 01:35:54 pm »

So this has been going on for awhile now.. it's been a 'hushed' scandal that hasn't really made it big time because it was just rumors, maybe's and innuendos..

here's the gist of what happened..

A (D) mayor didn't jump up high enough to endorse Chris Christie's re-election last Nov.  As a pay back Chris Christie's chief of staff, his appointee to the Port Authority and another high ranking Port boss Chris appointed all conspired to fuck-up the life of that (D) mayor by closing down  a few lanes on the Jersey side of the Washington bridge.. the largest thorough-fare into NYC from NJ.. and they did it the 1st day of school and they did it for 4 days..

the resulting 'traffic'.. made 1000's late to work and school.. forced the (D) mayor to bring in cops for 'overtime' for those 4 days to help with traffic.. and it delayed 911 emergency calls including a missing child..among other headaches.. not to mention was something Christie's people planned to use against this mayor in his re-election bid this year

So Ok.. the 'rumor' was again that Christie's people did it just to be dicks to a guy who didn't endorse him (to be fair, the guy never said he wouldn't endorse him either..but Christie's ppl just assumed he wasn't going because he was a (D) ).. But, like the "Cheney leaking Plame's name just to be a dick to her husband who didn't agree with the Iraq war'.. it was just hard for people to take seriously.. You know the kind of rumor that's plausible and crazy at the same time? So until there's more to it, you just kinda forget about it and just grumble "I wouldn't put it past them" in a kind of way..?

well Lo and Behold.. today there is actual proof of just how fucking petty that Tony Soprano wannabe is.. Emails have been found proving that Christie's people, his highest ranking 'cabinet members', not on conspired to retaliate against that (D) mayor, but they did even after being warned of how extremely bad it would be for the people of Jersey..

Quote
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/01/08/chris-christie-traffic_n_4561448.html

"Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee," Deputy Chief of Staff Bridget Anne Kelly wrote in an email on Aug. 13.

"Got it," replied David Wildstein, who was then one of Christie's top aides at the Port Authority, which is run jointly by New York and New Jersey.

A month later Wildstein did indeed create the traffic problems that Christie's office requested. He closed down two of Fort Lee's access lanes leading to the George Washington Bridge, the busiest bridge in the country. The closures came on Sept. 9, the first day of school in Fort Lee, leading to massive traffic jams as bridge traffic backed up into local streets. As a result, police and emergency vehicles were delayed in responding to reports of a missing child and a cardiac arrest.

The closures came just weeks after Fort Lee's mayor, Democrat Mark Sokolich, had appeared to decline to endorse Christie's reelection bid. Sokolich told The Huffington Post in an interview Wednesday morning that he never explicitly told Christie's team that he wouldn't endorse the mayor.

"There were overtures that were made to the effect like, 'Is this something you would consider?' And I don't ever recall getting back and saying no," he said. "I think that was a conclusion that they, in the infinite wisdom of the folks in Trenton, must have reached the conclusion that I wasn't going to. But I never specifically said no."

Quote
For weeks, Christie has been denying any involvement in the lane closures and refuting the idea that political retribution was at play. He has stood by his aides' explanations that the lanes were closed as part of a traffic study, even though Port Authority Executive Director Patrick Foye, who was appointed by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D), said he was never made aware of the study's existence.

But the new emails, provided by Wildstein in response to a subpoena from state lawmakers, bring Christie and his inner circle closer to the scandal.

The emails point to clear political motives for the closures, and the officials seem almost giddy at the problems they create.

That last part.. the 'giddy' part.. are you ready for the ultimate proof of whaddafuckingcocksuckingdickhead Chris Christie is?

here goes..

Quote
At one point, Wildstein received a text message from an unknown sender -- the emails are partially redacted -- saying, "Is it wrong that I'm smiling."

"No," replied Wildstein. When the other person added, "I feel badly about the kids. I guess," Wildstein reminded them that their parents are probably Democrats anyway.

"They are the children of Buono voters," said Wildstein, referring to Democrat Barbara Buono, who unsuccessfully challenged Christie in the Nov. 5 gubernatorial election.

eh, who gives a fuck that the kids are stuck in traffic for hours X 4days... who cares that they got to school late the 1st 4 days of the new school year.. who cares that 911 couldn't respond to a cardiac arrest AND a fucking missing child... They're just Democrats anyway.. Just Democrat kids unable to get to school, just Democrat kids missing...

are you fucking kidding me?  I mean... ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?

Now of course Christie and the people who suck his cock, I mean supporters are doing exactly what the Cheney people did.. It wasn't Cheney or Christie.. it was their Chief of Staff who did this all on their own.. and the main-man is just so.. so.. well blameless because how could he possibly know what his Number 1 staff member was cooking up with his number 2 staff member..It's not like those people see him everyday (they do) or talk to him ever hour of the day (they do).. It's not like they're his immediate 'assistants' in his innermost circle.. (they are)..he couldn't possible be expected to know what they were doing..Nah, he did nothing wrong, the idiots on the Right are already claiming,,

but here's teh reply to that for anyone who gets into a debate on this issue with a Right-wing idiot...  I'll give it (your counter-reply) to ya for free..  It takes a minute of background and build up.. Wink (doesn't everything I write-lol)

Hilary Clinton was found culpable for Benghazi by Fox news and the GOP in a GOP report because she ignored 'cables' that were sent to her Sec of State office.. She should have been aware of the dangers because she got these cables..  and they know she got them because her signature was on them.. so she let those deaths happen by ignoring the requests made of her.. They just didn't believe her 'excuse'.. which was..

ready..

Quote
Clinton testified that the more than 1 million cables that come to the State Department from the field every year are addressed to her and those that go out from Foggy Bottom bear her signature, regardless of who wrote them.

1 fucking million letters come to her department every year and Rand Paul, and the rest of the GOP, expected her to know about each and every one, to have read each and every one, to have acted on each and every one..he said that it was "inexcusable and a dereliction of duty." that she didn't read all of those cables.. I mean, he said her name was on them.. so that means she personally  read and ignored them..

yeaaahhhh...let me put that in perspective.. do you have a dollar bill hanging around? Look at it, you'll see the Treasury Sec's signature on it like this..

so you tell me... Do you have a personally autographed bill from the Sec't of the Treasury? Or is that just a copy of his signature that goes out on every bill while he's the Sec't?

that's what her signatures were like on those 1 million cables that Rand Paul and the GOP and Fox news say is proof she ignored Benghazi , which was a 'dereliction of duty' that killed 4 people..

So HRC is directly responsible for the Benghazi attack that killed 4 people because she didn't know about a few cables out of the million she gets every year...doesn't matter that it's a virtual impossibility for to her to have read each and every one of them.. she's to blame..

BUT Christie ISNT to blame when his Chief of staff emails his Port Authority a few times conspiring to close the lanes on the bridge and then both giggle and LOL  in a few more emails over the ensuing chaos they created.. HRC is supposed to be aware of every one of a 1 million cables and their content, but Christie's can't possibly be aware of the dozen or so that came from his innermost circle of subordinates

This is why I love/hate politics..

It's the media's fault.  If there's any real investigative journalists out there, any real media truth seekers who don't have corporate or political agenda's...they could straighten all this shit out...like yesterday...but they won't, because profit and agenda come before actual news.

They could easily show what a fucking idiot Rand Paul was/is for making the remarks he did, just fuckin eat him alive...but they don't. They could show how completely fucking plausible Christies involvement is...but again....eehhh.  Hell, most likely they'll just act as his protector.  He's the only viable competition to HRC should she decide to make a Pres Run. Short of him sitting on top of a building somewhere, doing meth and fucking sniping people, I doubt he's gonna get his balls busted journalistically...I mean not really.

It's so sad watching our media and journalism just slowly die. Shit on for profit.

Bingo.. they have a choice.. the minor ratings now.. because already ppl are like "oh who cares, it was a little traffic" not realizing that it was more than a 'little traffic'.. it was the closing of the busiest bridge in the county on some of the most busiest travel days of the year and it was done as a simple dick-move..

or does the profit-driven media just burp this story in the 3rd segment of their show and pocket the rest until the just before the final Presidential Debate between HRC and Christie  in 2016 ..

hmmmmmmmmm which brings in more money I wonder...

4 in the....." In the infancy of mass communications, the Columbus and Magellan of broadcast journalism, William Paley and David Sarnoff, went down to Washington to cut a deal with Congress. Congress would allow the fledgling networks free use of taxpayer-owned airwaves in exchange for one public service. That public service would be one hour of air time set aside every night for informational broadcasting, or what we now call the evening news. Congress, unable to anticipate the enormous capacity television would have to deliver consumers to advertisers, failed to include in its deal the one requirement that would have changed our national discourse immeasurably for the better. Congress forgot to add that under no circumstances could there be paid advertising during informational broadcasting. They forgot to say that taxpayers will give you the airwaves for free and for 23 hours a day you should make a profit, but for one hour a night you work for us. And now those network newscasts, anchored through history by honest-to-God newsmen with names like Murrow and Reasoner and Huntley and Brinkley and Buckley and Cronkite and Rather and Russert - Now they have to compete with the likes of me. A cable anchor who's in the exact same business as the producers of Jersey Shore. And that business was good to us"...Will McAvoy,Newsroom

It's pretty much like you said though. It's just straight up mob shit. "Why the fuck did you do that?" "Cause I can? Got a god damn problem with that?"

And unrelated...someone brought up religion and I heard the best analogy ever...

“Just think of God as a mob boss. Everything makes sense after that.  He can do no wrong and if you get out of line.... fuhgeddaboudit.”

Even with this, he's a lot better choice than any other republican out there.

Sadly, the traffic holdup didn't just affect schoolkids.

If Christie is the best republican, they really are in trouble. I do have hopes for Susana Martinez

Same.  No way someone like Christie doesn't know what's going on on his watch.  He's to friggin thorough, to Mr. In-Charge.

But he's not gonna get much if any help/defense from the far right.  He's practically dead to them when he did the unthinkable and not only hugged that anti-christ President Obama, but then he praised him, repeatedly.  They can't or won't forgive that.  They're to fuckin petty.  Even if he runs in 2016 and he's the only viable candidate to possibly beat Hill, they still won't support him...even if it means cutting their own throat.  They're fuckin crazy...literally.

The power brokers in the party, know that idiot has not shot(he will be trotted out though. Team extreme brings out voters). Mittens was the most moderate of that murderers row of right wing freak show they trotted out in 2012. Mittens got the party nod.
Honestly I think they wanted Rick Perry but someone slipped him a Roophie prior to his debates or he is an idiot. It is one or the other.  Perry was toast after the debates. They wanted anyone but Mittens but he was the only one that had a shot.
Corn dog swallower with the flaming husband or God Warrior Santorium had no shot but were there to rally the God Warriors.

WAY too many people were shitting their pants when the closures were going.. there's no way he didn't get a call from someone... no way he know about it while it was happening and just ignored it.. no way whatsoever the Gov didn't know the busiest bridge in the country was closed down for 4 days..

if he didn't know? He loses just the same because what kind of leadership is that..

I do love the silence on this issue from Fox..  the 1st day they spent a total of 15mins on it for a 24hr period.. and those 15mins were "oooo wow he caused a traffic jam rollseyes"  I don't know if they're spending more time on it now, but I'm sure they're still rolling their eyes at the whole thing..

when the lawsuits start coming in tho... when the family of the woman who died because the ambulance couldn't reach her in time, sues.. then it's really going to hit the fan.. because that's more than just a civil infraction.. that's criminal..

Wait. That's why the old woman died? The ambulance didn't get to her?Huh??

But all the right wing sites are saying she died at home so the bridge closure had nothing to do with it!

5 reasons Chris Christie might be lying

“I am embarrassed and humiliated by the conduct of some of the people on my team,” New Jersey Governor Chris Christie said during his press conference on Jan. 9 regarding the George Washington Bridge scandal. “I am who I am, but I am not a bully.” While he worked hard in the nearly two-hour press conference to dispel any rumors of his involvement, many have already noted that Christie’s speech was more remarkable for the questions it didn’t answer than for the ones it did.
