Florida Democratic congressional candidate Alex Sink said immigration reform was important at a Tuesday debate because, without it, it would be difficult for employers to find people to clean hotel rooms and do landscaping.

“Immigration reform is important in our country,” she said. “We have a lot of employers over on the beaches that rely upon workers and especially in this high-growth environment, where are you going to get people to work to clean our hotel rooms or do our landscaping? We don’t need to put those employers in a position of hiring undocumented and illegal workers.”

Evidently, without this reform, these blue-collar jobs will fall into the hands of illegal aliens.

Sink is running in a special election for Florida’s 13th congressional seat, which was vacated upon the death of Bill Young last year. She ran unsuccessfully for governor in 2010 against Rick Scott.

Christ... it's really no wonder Rick Scott beat her...

Facts are the center. We don’t pretend that certain facts are in dispute to give the appearance of fairness to people who don’t believe them.  Balance is irrelevant to me.  It doesn’t have anything to do with truth, logic or reality. ~Charlie Skinner (the Newsroom)

You know, if I was an immigrant, I'd be tempted to tell her to take her immigration reform and stick it where the sun don't shine.

And if those employers paid a decent wage, maybe they could get citizens to take those jobs, instead of illegal immigrants who are desperate for anything.

Wow. Clueless.  So much wrong with her comment. On the other hand-  gotta give her credit for honesty. Basically, she wants immigration reform so the shit jobs can be done for shit pay by people she considers lower than dirt...
