I moved back the one thread that shouldn't have been moved, and then the one that should have been moved. The reason is simple. Mike's thread, while bullshit, wasn't conspiracy.. just bad information.. but even the bad information would have resulted in a normal conversation.. I didn't believe it deserved to be moved, and let Howie know I undid his 'edit'.
Fafa's thread, on the other hand,
was based on conspiracy from a socialist website. He's been asked in public and private many times to try and keep this stuff in his own section...So your real question seems to be
'why, whats the big deal anyway'Ok, imagine it's not conspiracy he's posting, imagine it's
'oxy clean'. Now, he really really loves this '
oxy clean'. I mean, he lives,breathes,eats and sleeps it.. it's his life, the way he views things, the way he forms opinions,friendships and ideas... so at 1st his reply to everything on the board is
"Oxy clean really is the better answer for this" with a link to a different paid advertizement site backing this claim. He's asked to stop this and join the conversation without the
'oxy clean'.. because we don't want each and every thread turning into another endorsement of another wild
'oxy clean' claim ... he's even given his own section to put all the
'oxy clean' posts he wants put in there.. and yet, he continues to reply to each and every thread, or he starts them by either hinting about the powers of
'oxy clean', the benefits to the environment if you use
'oxy clean' and the financial improvements of the
'oxy clean' corporations...
and after having the 'source site' thing explained to him a few times.. he still uses 'paid' sponsors as his source material for his
oxy clean statements..
unfortunately, the natural progression of the thread he continues posts this in will turn towards the topic of
'oxy clean' until such a time where every open thread on the board is an argument about the validity of
'oxy clean'. People, doing a google on
oxy clean could see all of these posts on it on this site and come here and add their own
oxy clean views, which will then lead to more and more, like minded people coming along all doing the same thing.
Writers of articles fafa uses will see this site linked, and see the enormous
'oxy clean' posts since he is a prolific contributor, and think "Hey, I'll add this place to my links page on my blog and send even more like
oxy clean, like minded people there'.. until a day when that's all this place is.. a place where even Fox Mulder would think is bat-shit crazy in it's conspiracy..
This is not just a 'slant'.. in the way that Mike is right, I am left. He has been asked,punished,asked,begged,corrected and asked again. If TPTB are a little touchy with his posts now, it's his doing. Because at this point we don't know whether he understands,can understand or will ever understand that not every subject is related to
'oxy clean' or if he does and is just fucking with us to see how far we'll go.
No, the irony of all this is not lost on myself or Howie... but at this point, we are left with just moving fafa's posts and threads to control him since he can't seem to control himself. If you have a better alternative, feel free to present it... but remember these facts..
~fafa is the 2nd highest poster with an average of 11.468 per day, and on this beginning board, means most every post will be turned into conspiracy.
~conspiracy is not something the admins of the board enjoys on the level of making the
entire board conspiracy based.. they don't mind having them, they enjoy reading and playing with them, they just want them in their own section instead of in
every section and they have...
~literally asked fafa 100 different ways, in public,in private, to keep his conspiracy in his section..and yet, he continues to either not know the difference, or not care about what he's been asked.
this place is new and there is a learning curve. If you have a different way of handling this, I know I am willing to listen.. (doesn't mean I'll opt to use it tho.. LOL
