I've already said I thought a county chairman was kind of a low level and not really a national news story.  You do.  So what's there to reply to?

But...as I've already shown you, she the county* chairperson wasn't a "kind of a low level". She's the leader of what is arguably one of the largest Republican bastions in the country...

Quote
This woman is what? the Chairperson of the Republican Party in Orange County*, California. With a population of 3,026,786, it's not a little borough.

Orange County* is also the home of Tricky Dick, so you know there's a whole lot of credibility going on there. Republicans in the county* are an overwhelming majority so that's a whole hell of a lot of racist post cards and emails going out in the mail on party time.

So, yeah. It's a big deal.

Oh. And let's clear up this little "elected" bit right now, too.

Quote
A California Republican party official who sent out an e-mail of President Obama's face super-imposed onto a chimp says she's sorry, but insists she wasn't trying to be racist.

Marilyn Davenport, an elected member of the Orange County Republican central committee, sent the e-mail on Friday. The "family photo" features the commander-in-chief as a baby chimpanzee with two chimp parents.

Sorry, that is not an elected official.  You know better than that, or worse, you don't.

Frankly you should be chowing down on that humble pie for even trying to pass her off as an elected official.

I love how he's literal when he wants to be, but when he's called out the literal goes flying out the window.

It's not me being called out, it's a matter of you being wrong.  Being "elected" a chairperson of a county political party is not being an "elected official."  You know that.  Don't you ever wonder why you make it so difficult for me to take you seriously?  And I really try.

Thought I'd go back to a point I missed:

And again I say, thanks!

I don't know what exactly you want me to reply to.  I've already said I thought a county chairman was kind of a low level and not really a national news story.  You do.  So what's there to reply to?

Otherwise a story about a fomer KKK and current Democrat in a Florida mayor's race would have been national news.

The irony of you comparing an elected official of the Republican Party (there? Is that better?) in one of the largest counties in the nation with a population of 3,026,786 - that's MILLIONS ripe with racist Republicans to the village of Winter Haven, Florida, with its population of 32,577 - that's THOUSANDS (est. 2007) (most likely also ripe with racist Republicans, but that's another thread...) with a non-elected official - merely a candidate for mayor - simply amazes me!

The fact that you think that one is "not really a national news story" when it's dealing with (again) an elected official of the Republican Party (there? Is that better?) in one of the largest counties in the nation with a population of 3,026,786 - that's MILLIONS, yet you think that the one who's a mayoral candidate in East Podunck, Floriduh with its population of 32,577 - that's THOUSANDS should be considered "a national news story" simply amazes me even more!

See the point is the GOP partisan hacks can't admit it is racism. It destroys the whole we hate Obama for his policies not his race shit, they trot out all the time.
The sad part is the partisan hacks have basically gift wrapped the election to Obama with all their other crap. I was on another forum and read a thread about Obama not celebrating Easter but celebrating Muslim holidays. This is a national forum which a year or two ago the thread would have gotten a lot of support. Now most of the moderates are like,"Shut the fuck up about this shit" The GOP hacks have beaten the horse so much, the middle are starting to feel bad for the horse. The spin is now back-firing. The GOP have gone to the personal attacks on Obama well so much it is now dry.

Frankly, I'm surprised lilMike hasn't brought that one up yet. It was front page center on Drudge. If Sam was here, I'm sure he would have though.

The claim that was made? Big fucking deal!

Quote
Predictably, Fox & Friends has picked up where Fox Nation and Sean Hannity left off in attacking President Obama for not issuing a presidential proclamation on Easter. The morning crew made a lot of hay over the fact that Obama has never issued a proclamation on Easter, despite mentioning that Obama hosted the White House Easter egg roll and made "some comments about Easter at a breakfast last week."

Not reported? That no presidential proclamations have been made on Easter for at least the past 20-plus years. Additionally, that "breakfast last week" where Obama mentioned Easter? Yeah, that would be the Easter Prayer Breakfast that Obama hosted. Oh, and Obama also mentioned Easter during his weekly address. But, such facts could never stand in the way of Fox's mission to attack Obama over anything at all costs.

As Media Matters has noted, Little Green Footballs blogger Charles Johnson documented that presidents going back through at least 1980 have not released a proclamation about Easter.
