Palin's Secret Weapon: New Film to Premiere in June <--linky

Shortly after Republicans swept last November to a historic victory in which Sarah Palin was credited with playing a central role, the former Alaska governor pulled aside her close aide, Rebecca Mansour, to discuss a hush-hush assignment: Reach out to conservative filmmaker Stephen K. Bannon with a request. Ask him if he would make a series of videos extolling Palin's governorship and laying to rest lingering questions about her controversial decision to resign from office with a year-and-a-half left in her first term. It was this abdication, Palin knew, that had made her damaged goods in the eyes of some Republicans who once were eager to get behind her potential 2012 presidential campaign.

The response was more positive than Palin could have hoped for. He'd make a feature-length movie, Bannon told Mansour, and he insisted upon taking complete control and financing it himself -- to the tune of $1 million.

The fruits of that initial conversation are now complete. The result is a two-hour-long, sweeping epic, a rough cut of which Bannon screened privately for Sarah and Todd Palin last Wednesday in Arizona, where Alaska's most famous couple has been rumored to have purchased a new home. When it premieres in Iowa next month, the film is poised to serve as a galvanizing prelude to Palin's prospective presidential campaign -- an unconventional reintroduction to the nation that she and her political team have spent months eagerly anticipating, even as Beltway Republicans have largely concluded that she won't run.

God help us all.. this will make her win the nomination and possibly the white house..

Won't help, regardless of Citizens United.

Why? Wait for Obama's "I fought Osama and I won" feature film coming out June 2012.

Never heard of it but the whole thing is on yt and I'm going to watch. I noticed in my searching out old stuff that your login is there on dumbre but I don't know who you used to be...

eta scratch watching, couldn't take more than 20 minutes, it's referred to as one of the most influential propaganda films ever, I guess depending on the perspective.

and now....

she's going on tour..

Palin launching multi-city tour amid 2012 buzz

Des Moines, Iowa (CNN) – Not two days ago, Sarah Palin was all but written off as a possible presidential contender by the national media and Republican insiders who considered the field of 2012 candidates to be settled.

Now, fittingly, one of the country's most unpredictable political figures is preparing to prove them wrong.

CNN has learned that Palin has quietly laid the groundwork for a nationwide tour, beginning this weekend in the nation's capital, that will once again thrust her into the national spotlight as she decides whether to seek the GOP nomination.

Billed as a "One Nation Tour," the multi-city journey will take the former Alaska governor to a series of historical sites along the East Coast "that were key to the formation, survival and growth of the United States of America," a Palin source told CNN.

Other stops may be added along the tour, which is primed to garner a flood of media attention thanks to the slow-starting presidential race.

The tour will begin over Memorial Day weekend, during Sunday's Rolling Thunder rally in Washington, an annual pilgrimage of bikers to honor fallen soldiers and prisoners of war.

News of the tour comes as speculation about Palin's presidential intentions reaches fever pitch.

After remaining relatively quiet throughout the spring, Palin recently rehired former advisers Jason Recher and Doug McMarlin, CNN has confirmed.

Recher and McMarlin organized travel logistics for Palin in the year following her return to Alaska after the 2008 presidential campaign, but they parted ways last year. The two men would be instrumental in mounting a presidential effort should she decide to run.

interestingly enough, the 'tell-all' book about her.. says that she would always write letters to the editor of the local papers praising herself and then get other people to sign the letter and send them in... the example of one letter was pretty  obvious she had written it, and she's been busted doing the same thing on her facebook..

what kind of weirdo does that?

and is this really what people want in their president?

new gallop poll has her at 2nd under Romney.. since Huck's exist..

as I said before, now that Huck's out.. she's definitely in.. and God help us all, because I think she can get elected with  Koch/Rove money being dumped into the campaign..

Now that is precious. I guess I'm naturally gullible and always give people the benefit of the doubt. I knew everything we all know about her inexperience, lack of intelligence and love for the camera. But I thought that she was sincerely just loony and riding the money gravy train. To forge letters of support is a whole other matter.*Palin scratching head*~It always worked with permission slips and hall passes...
