To her credit she did attend five colleges in six years so she's very well rounded in her stupidity. In related news...I know that during the last presidential cycle I dissed Mitt Romney (mainly because of my disdain for Mormons) but I really don't think he's all that bad for a candidate. What has surprised me, listening to his speeches, is how incredibly unintelligent he is. It's like his whole life has been spent being groomed to be a politician but he just doesn't have the smarts for it. |

My theory for Bachman and Palin is they are the GOP's, beards or just around for eye candy.
There is no way anyone other than uber God Warriors buy into any shit these 2 idiots say. I find it funny that 2 High School students have challenged Bachman to debates.
That being sad, I would smush either one.

Yeah...I wouldn't throw Todd outta the sack, IYKWIM.  I'm beginning to be of the opinion that both Palin and Bachmann are just trying to be bitchy spoilers. Romney announces his candidacy and Sarah shows up a block up the street with the chillens trying to upstage him. Bachmann did the same thing with Pawlenty (yeah...snooze on that one!). I'm all for it. Let them upstage in their attempt to draw the pubs even further to the right. Massacre '12! |

Imagine if you will, that you're sitting on your back porch. Friends and relatives are over for a lovely cookout. The day progresses and idol chit-chat abounds. The talk at some point turns to politics, as it usually does...and as is also par for the course...opinion's abound.
Some people have a better than average grasp of the current landscape. Some people, just average. Others strictly tow ideological lines, with myths and rhetoric at the ready. Several just don't care. Then...there's those special few. Who's knowledge isn't just sub-par for the discourse taking place, but inadequate on a level that is embarrassing and yet...the individual participates with conviction. Conviction, that is devoid of substance and wholly lacking even rudimentary understanding.
The latter is Sarah Palin...and she's not alone. The definition of dumb/misinformed has given way to "speaking your mind." "You're not dumb/misinformed if you're expressing yourself...you just had a mental hiccup...no biggie. WE KNOW what you meant." Really? Fuckin really? She could say, "the Hindenburg blew up during it's attempt to discover Atlantis, but luckily, Patrick Swazye was unharmed and THAT'S the spirit of American adventure!"...and as God is my witness...she'd get a pass.
It just boggles the mind.
