It's all par for the course with our media these days. They provide an outlet and then continue it and peeps like Bristol cash in while the ride lasts. She's no more relevant to a news cycle than my neighbor down the street. Neither have done anything that is note worthy of "news" or coverage.
She's the Tea Parties Paris Hilton...so with that crowd, you're assured view time because they can't get enough. Regardless of whether the "enough" is devoid of actual substance.
They could come out with a cure for AIDS tomorrow and if Bristol or her momma were caught on audio or video making a racist joke or flashing their tits during a drunken moment...the AIDS story would be trumped.
