The 1st Amendment only guarantees that THE GOVERNMENT can’t come after you for anything you say (which kinda went out with the Patriot Act anyway).
There is NOTHING in the Constitution that guarantees you continued employment based on Freedom of Speech.
THAT’S the distinction… but I wouldn’t suppose that those of you who defend Hank’s statements have a very firm grasp on the finer points of the Constitution anyway (as opposed to our President who specialized in Constitutional Law at Harvard).
And all of you who SAY you’re going to boycott ESPN/ABC… sure you are. See you next time there’s a big NASCAR race, or football game or whenever. Big words to say you’ll boycott… and no way to prove you actually are. What a joke!
