Not really. He just understands that the uneducated are more likely to vote Republican than Democrat. For the same reason those who watch Fox news are less aware than people who don't watch TV at all...

Everyone knows the real unemployment rate is well into double digits, he filled the cabinet with Goldman Sachs and Monsanto former employees(after pre election claims to the contrary), claims that the country is hungry for a civilian military counterpart to the military, to name a few of the many examples of hypocrisy, not to mention that the same financiers backed McCain that backed him.
