What I find funny is all my conservative friends say they would vote for Huntsman, based on my informal poll he should win Iowa by 30 points.
I am just wondering is Huntsman the go to, I am voting for this guy because, it makes me seem like a sane Republican. I find it funny.
I said before Huntsman's the only sane one out there. Only problem is, he's not crazy or conservative enough for the New Age Republican Party. Plus he worked for youknowwho so that makes him a commie pinko socialist mo.

Neuter cheated on at least one dying wife. That's about the only difference between him and Mittens.
That's one even I fell for. I think I said something about it on the muche. Unfortunately, although most of the story is true, his wife was not dying. She did not die. She was, however, undergoing treatment for cancer and was in the hospital when he asked her for a divorce.
Of course, now he's saying she asked for the divorce so he's holding up the Republican Lie Platform pretty darn good.

Oh. Yeah.
Like it really worked last time!
Quote
Newt Gingrich, plunging in the polls, dropped this bomb Wednesday:
he would consider asking Sarah Palin to serve as his number two or in his Cabinet if he became president.
"She is certainly one of the people you would look at," Gingrich said Wednesday, according to Right Wing Watch, when asked if he would consider tapping the 2008 vice presidential nominee for a second try.
"I am a great admirer of hers and she was a remarkable reform governor of Alaska, she's somebody who I think brings a great deal to the possibility of helping in government and that would be one of the possibilities," Gingrich said at Ralph Reed's Faith and Freedom Coalition.
And if he did not pick her for his running mate and he defeated President Obama in the November general election, he would consider putting her in the Cabinet, the site reports.
Hey, Newt? Here's a great platform you can run on...you can come up with something called, oh...I don't know...how 'bout a Contract with American? Should go over reeeeallllll good!

The only 2 republicans I would vote for is Huntsman and Paul sometimes over Obama. Paul will go all conservtard and then I would not vote for him, then he will talk about the budget and his foreign policy and I want to vote for him again.

yeah, I got that.. I mean, it was pretty 'plain as day'..

yeah, that's what I figured too.. Huntsman is the 'safe' answer when that question comes up.

I like him too.. but I think Obama can do more than he ever would. He just doesn't have 'it'... (whatever 'it' is)
Well he's no savior of mankind like Obama, but more to the point, the it he doesn't have is being a registered Democrat. Anyway, you wouldn't like him if you knew more about him, which is part of his problem.

I'm not either choice.. but I that's because I don't believe you so... HA!
Look,I know you would like Paul Ryan or Rand Paul or even Rubio.. and they simply aren't any where near Huntsman.. he's almost Obama and Mitt rolled into one..neither of which are a Paul,Ryan or Rubio..
you voted for Rick Scott for pete's sake.. that's as anti-Huntsman as you can get..
but when asked the question you were asked, Huntsman
is
the 'safe' answer.. and we all know you love a safe answer...
I picked Huntsman of the people who are actually running, so yes, out of the sea of qualified people who are not running, I could find quite a few choices better than Huntsman. Ryan, Rubio, or Christie might easily fill the bill. I'm not so sure about Rand, since I don't quite have a full grasp of him, although I've been pleased by his actions in the Senate so far.
I don't see how that's the "safe" answer though. What unsafe answer would you expect me to choose?

Well the point I was making was the racial obsession of liberal democrats. Change the skin color and Obama is just a John Edwards with a closed zipper and less experience. But oh that skin color! That's the difference between 5 % in the polls and winning the primaries for Democrats.
If I wanted to make an inference that you were a racist I would have done it in the "Uncle" Herman thread. That's a doozy!

I find that curious too.
A few weeks ago on another site run by a liberal, he posited the question just to Republicans what they thought about the Republican field. Besides my own answer, that's how the vast majority of responses lined up, Huntsman, and then Paul. That's a wide variance with the actual Iowa and nationwide polling. I don't have an explanation for that.
Yet.
But I'm not interested in trying to please Democrats with picking a candidate that
they
will find "sane." From the party that thinks we can deficit spend forever? Their definition of sanity doesn't interest me.
Quite simply, by Buckley's dictum, Huntsman is the most conservative electable candidate who's in the race. Romney is electable, but isn't even close to being a conservative (except on alternative Tuesdays when he totally flips positions). Gingrich supported Medicare Part D. In the oxymoronic way of the media, he is considered a big government conservative. And he's not even electable. Santorum, another big government conservative. Sure, he likes babies, but he likes spending too. Also he's not electable. Paul, it goes without saying, isn't electable. Neither is Bachmann, although I think in future election cycles that could change, although it won't change for Gingrich or Santorum. That pretty much leaves Huntsman.

Really? The democrats are obsessed with race? It wasn't the democrats who went into a conniption the minute a black man was nominated to be president, it wasn't the democrats who spent five years trying to negate that presidency with claims that he was a socialist born in Africa and countless other wild conspiracies, it wasn't the democrats who put out pictures of watermelons on the White House lawn, it wasn't democrats who posted racist epithets about the president on FB and Twitter!
And...it wasn't a democrat who went all ballistically nutso who took an obvious Star Wars reference and tried to make it a racist comment! Only a racist would read that much into an innocent comment, iykwim
.
This has never happened before. Sure, there's been presidents hated before, but the level of vitriol and craziness over the past five years has exceeded and surpassed what we've seen over the entire life of our nation!
And it's all because there's a BLACK MAN in office!

Yeah...all those blacks calling Uncle Herman an Uncle Tom are really racist!
Why do you not understand the man did not represent blacks? He was literally raised by a rich white man (and a Democrat to boot!) who magnaminously paid his way through the best private schools and colleges there are, he refused to accept the civil rights movement, he threw the blacks under the bus every minute of his campaign!
If there ever was a living definition of an Uncle Tom, you're looking at him.

I was wondering could a black man be a republican and not be an Uncle Tom? It just seems that every black man in the republican party gets called an Uncle Tom, which is unfair. Our schools nor our political parties should be segregated.
I never thought the Hermanator was an Uncle Tom, maybe a Tomcat.

I don't think every black republican is an Uncle Tom. Michael Steel, for example, while dumb, isn't. If you remember Edward Brooke, who probably would be called a RINO today, was a respected Senator, even though he screwed Baba Walters. Alan Keyes and Allan West, both black, are better known for being shitfaced crazy more than anything else. Colin Powell and Condi Rice both are respected by lots of folks and have never been called Uncle Tom's. Then there's Clarence. Can we just forget him and Ginny?
So....none of them fit this category as well as Uncle Herman. And, remember, I'm just repeating the great number of black journalists and activists in calling him out for what he is...like the New Black Party.
So...If I'm racist for calling Uncle Herman an Uncle Tom, I guess Roland Martin is too?
How about another black's
take
on him? lilMike will especially like this one because it disproves his theory about Obama.
Quote
If there is anyone who has single-handedly debunked the myth that most black voters chose Barack Obama in 2008 because of his ethnicity, it is the sole black candidate in the race for the Republican presidential nomination.
Although the same mindless people who created and perpetuated the big lie are not insightful enough to recognize or honest enough to acknowledge the public service he has provided, join me in saying, "Thank you, Herman Cain."
Probably no one, other than Clarence Thomas, could have done it better.
He is, like us - like President Obama - a black American. According to the bigots' theory, that alone would nail down black voter support to do his bidding at the polls. That, they say, is why we turned out in astonishing numbers three years ago to help elect Obama; it was just because he's black.
The history-busting election of a black man to the highest office in the land made us proud, yes, but he had to do more than just look like us.
The "content of his character," his similar position on issues that mean the most to us, his apparent empathies with our experiences and sensibilities, his intelligence, his knowledge of government and policy, his sophistication and his cool - all of these conspired to make it worth our while to hike off to the voting spot, wait in line and do our duty. Change, in our minds, was coming in more ways than merely the color palette in the presidential portrait gallery.
It is riskless to say that Cain does not enjoy that same popularity in the black community.
And here's why: He continually insults unemployed and poverty-stricken black Americans as whiners and blame-finders; he has perpetuated the stereotype of black Americans as “brainwashed” by the Democratic party; he shrugs off race as a factor in the disparities and wrong-doings of American life, law and policy; he jokes about his ignorance over foreign policy, an ignorance he is lax in curing; he channels his inner redneck whenever immigration issues arise, and the linchpin of his candidacy is a tax plan with a catchy name and booby traps in the fine print.
A bootleg elitist, that’s what he is.
Just as Obama's blackness was not enough on its own to win us over, neither is Cain's enough to make us overlook his multiple betrayals and failures.
How 'bout D.L. Hugeley?
