Wait. I had to check into this. Weren't charges dropped against both? Clinton had impeachment charges dismissed by the Senate, Gingrich had perjury charges dropped but was reprimanded for lying. So why are you lying and saying Clinton was a felon?

Bennett, conservative author and nationally syndicated radio host, falsely claimed six times that former President Bill Clinton committed "perjury" or a "felony" for lying under oath. Bennett appeared on FOX Broadcasting Company's FOX News Sunday opposite Robert B. Reich, former Clinton administration Labor secretary, to discuss Clinton's legacy three days after the November 18 opening of the Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.

As Media Matters for America has noted, the Senate acquitted Clinton on both articles of impeachment, one of which was perjury. In order for a lie under oath to amount to perjury -- as Senator Daniel Akaka (D-HI) explained on the floor of the Senate on February 12, 1999 -- it must be "material" to the underlying case. U.S. District Judge Susan Webber Wright ruled that Clinton's deposition in the Monica Lewinsky case was immaterial to the sexual harassment suit that Paula Jones brought against Clinton.

Meanwhile, looks like Newt has already committed another felony on the campaign trail!

The House ethics committee recommended last night that House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) face an unprecedented reprimand from his colleagues and pay $300,000 in additional sanctions after concluding that his use of tax-deductible money for political purposes and inaccurate information supplied to investigators represented "intentional or . . . reckless" disregard of House rules.

Cole said he had concluded that Gingrich had violated federal tax law and had lied to the ethics panel in an effort to force the committee to dismiss the complaint against him. He said the committee members were reluctant to go that far in their conclusions, but said they agreed Gingrich was either "reckless" or "intentional" in the way he conducted himself.

I didn't say Clinton was a felon.  He did commit a felony though.  The fact that he wasn't impeached doesn't change that since he admitted to it as part of deal to avoid further criminal charges.
