I heard a new one last night...David Corn was trying to explain to Michael Steele(ex rnc chairman) that when someone, Santorum, says that Satan has control over politics, then how is he supposed to work with the other side of the aisle. How can he work with 'Satan' to find common ground and compromises.and that's such a brilliant point.. But,Steele wouldn't shut up long enough to listen all he could say was, first, the media didn't care when it was Obama and Rev. Wright(bullshit,they cared so much Obama had to leave his church), and secondly he asked Corn to show Santorums policies that backed his 'Satan' comment.. so they could compare them to all of Obama's 'Black liberation theology' polices..

I am so tired of hearing "The media didn't ask Obama about...." bullshit, the media hounded him on Wright until he denounced him, quit the church and then gave one the best race speeches ever. The media hounded him on 'bill ayers' and incessantly played clips of the Palin's et al 'pal'ing around with terrorists',the media hounded him on where he was born and hello, his name was a point of contention as well.. how many times did we see some Repub say “Barack Hussein Obama.’’ ?
everything about the guy was up for grabs and debate.. and you can bet your life that if Obama came out today as a 'Muslim'.. he'd be questioned ad naseum on his plan to turn us into a Sharia Law country.. because Muslims can't govern without their religion dictating their policy/positions.. unlike extreme jesus freaks. They of course can keep the two separate... *rollseyes*
It'll be given a false *un*-equivalence. I'm so glad that Franklin Graham opened his yap. It shows this dynamic that's been playing out, continually, behind the scenes...and as of late, in front again. It plays out perfectly to highlight the immunity that (to quote Nutty) the God Warriors feel they wield when it comes to matters of religion/faith. President Obama ISN'T a Christian, but Newt Gingrich IS. President Obama can be eternally questioned about his faith, but Rick Santorum is being subjected to religious persecution. It's the kid who pokes you and pokes you and poke you...and when you finally poke him back..."DON'T FUCK'IN TOUCH ME!"
Michael Steele argued that everyone had it wrong. Rick was using metaphors and that, of course, he'd be using religiously themed language in front of a religious group when referring to politics, the Government, the country. I dare ANYONE to watch that talk that he gave and tell me with a straight face that he was engaging in metaphors. He was talking about a tangible being of evil, Gods arch nemesis, pointing his pitchfork DIRECTLY at America...and using all of the dark arcane powers at his disposal, he's putting the demonic hex on us...OH SHIT! And worse yet, there are people in the Government helping him...WHAT THE FUCK?!...WE'RE DOOMED!!
David Corn was correct. How can you work with someone who's OBVIOUSLY doing Satan's bidding? Answer is, you can't. Who's doing Satan's bidding, either knowingly or unknowingly? Whoever disagrees with Rick and the religious right!
As an additional note, I came to this conclusion...
...If there really was a Satan, he wouldn't have to lift a finger. Every right wing extremist does all the work for him, when they over compensate and see_evil in everything around them. He'd just sit back, collect all those wonderfully negative vibes and enjoy an endless buffet of ignorance, done in the name of the God.
