The Defense Secretary responded “You know, our goal would be to seek international permission. And we would come to the Congress and inform you and determine how best to approach this, whether or not we would want to get permission from the Congress.”

meh...it's no crazier than some of the shit lilMike's been posting.  Cheesy

Aside from the fact that this is a resolution (non-binding), it will never pass and is another example of the crazies in congress doing absolutely nothing to improve the economy, increase employment, provide health care to all, or work.

But I do like the manner Jones publishes his shit. It would do the soul of Breitbart good.

The text of H.Con.Res. 107 follows:

Quote
“Expressing the sense of Congress that the use of offensive military force by a President without prior and clear authorization of an Act of Congress constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under article II, section 4 of the Constitution.

Whereas the cornerstone of the Republic is honoring Congress's exclusive power to declare war under article I, section 8, clause 11 of the Constitution: Now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That it is the sense of Congress that, except in response to an actual or imminent attack against the territory of the United States, the use of offensive military force by a President without prior and clear authorization of an Act of Congress violates Congress's exclusive power to declare war under article I, section 8, clause 11 of the Constitution and therefore constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under article II, section 4 of the Constitution.”

We agree on congress. I don't worship infowars but it is a credible news organization which has more viewers/readers/watchers than msnbc. I've never heard them talk about anything that isn't documented or otherwise covered by other news agencies but they do analyze and break things down in a way that is by definition somewhat subjective. What I saw as the larger point was that it was not covered or barely mentioned at other outlets.

Even more important than that is the exchange itself and what many believe is an outward expression of a long standing policy change. I believe ya'll  Tongue get a certain amount of enjoyment from the left, right, dem, pub stuff that I'm not interested in however I'll keep trying or something.
