He reached over and forged his own birth certificate while cradled in his mother's hands, then flew to Hawaii from Indonesia on the red eye, crawled through the halls of the hospital and snuck the forged birth certificate into the hospital's records.

See, to me, that's more sad than scary...because Aaron is a good guy.  I hate seeing people manipulated.  Which is what the far right thinks liberal's/progressives are...manipulated.  We can't see the forest for the trees.  It's very difficult laying "manipulations" side by side and trying to make them understand, "Now see, the *manipulations* you think are being portrayed on me isn't a manipulation, I get it.  You, on the other hand, got some serious Mam'ah Jam'ah going on."

Aaron can reason, once he's got the facts, that's good.  Someone who believes the earth is flat or 6,000 years old as nutty said...is on a whole different level.  The belief *maintains* them. It is deeeeeeepppp.  They shaped their "reality" around that and other things.  Their reality, their angst, their happiness, their dislikes, their loves, their hates, are all interwoven into a very fragile interconnected weave of reality...that can't take even a single thread being displaced or removed.  If they're wrong about one thing, maybe they could be wrong about something else...that thought scares the ever living shit out of them on a level that we can't understand...because our reality isn't static...it's just reality.  As one thought is debunked for another, we're like, "Holy shit! didn't see that one coming", we adjust and continue forward.  The other people can't do that...it would literally wreck them.  They can't question one thing, let alone the ripple effect it might have.

I, for one, am exceedingly happy that my mom raised me to question reality and understand that it indeed is not static.  That I can be let down or even crushed that a long held thought, belief, or fact might be wrong...but that it'll be OK...I'll be OK...and that the Universe will carry on.

but it's the volume that's the problem.. I mean, it's everywhere on the 'red meat' sites..in their circles, around their dinner table..sitting next to them at the hunting camp on on the boat.. and no matter how many times you correct them and they see where it's bullshit.. there comes a point of 'critical mass' when they're hearing/seeing it so much, that it just has to be true and the one showing them it isn't, is just an 'obama-lover'.. and that is what scares me. .. the sheer volume..

Just the other day... I mentioned this about Hannity on the radio and Obama's immigration plan.. Hannity and is radio show is soooooooooooo much more vile.. and he was just raving about how Obama lied to everyone, it's not his plan that's bad because he just stole it from Rubio(except he didn't).. it's that he knows he can't do it and he lying and should be impeached for that.. to back this up.. he played all the clips where Obama is saying he can't just do an executive order like everyone thinks..

I watched Hannity that night, and the 'Dem' he had on couldn't give a good argument, I couldn't either..I was saying "sure, it's political, but that's a perk of the office'.. because I believed Hannity's bullshit..and I've got the ability to verify his 'facts'..but the tapes were pretty cut and dried.. what was there to verify?

Stewart made probably the best comparative statement ever made a cpl weeks ago when he said "I get it now, Republicans are the ones who break something and then sit around complaining that it's not working"..

Explain this to me.. you have 1/2 the GOP out there have a fit that he's had all this time to do something and he never ever even tried..and the other 1/2 out there preaching when he tried to get it done thru the congress, it was voted down because the people spoke and now he's unilaterally taking action against the peoples wishes.. at the same time on the same issue and it not only makes sense in the head of GOP'er.. it's logically allowed..

He can never do it,never try it and do it,lose, and just take the power anyway.. at the same fucking time!
