"First, we believe in absolutely gun-free, zero-tolerance, totally safe schools. That means no guns in America’s schools, period … with the rare exception of law enforcement officers or trained security personnel."
You know who said that? The 1999 version of Executive Vice President and CEO of the NRA, Wayne LaPierre.
The 2012/13 version said...
“Politicians pass laws for Gun-Free School Zones. They issue press releases bragging about them. They post signs advertising them. And in so doing, they tell every insane killer in America that schools are their safest place to inflict maximum mayhem with minimum risk.“
Hmmmm, I wonder what was different then, than it is now?
Ohhhhh, that's right, we didn't have a secret terrorist Muslim at the helm of legislation and policy, that hardly a single citizen gave a peep about prior to his Presidency. The truly amazing thing is...these fringe nutbags cannot see how painfully transparent they are to the mainstay of society. They truly believe their terror and angst manifests from an honest to goodness place of legitimate concern and even better...they will swear on their dear mother's head not an ounce of the provocation is supplied by irrational rhetoric and strong undercurrents of prejudice (more than one type). They're type of agitation and fear can never be quelled, no matter how many guns they own...ever. Well...maybe a little...when that Muslin is out of office.
