Here's the reality we're working with...he's the stepchild.  The bad will always overshadow the good. Oh wait, I forgot...he's President Obama...there is no *good.*  Let me display here how extreme it gets.

NSA...Baaaddd.

Ordered all federal agencies to undertake a study and make recommendations for ways to cut spending...Didn't know, don't care, baaaddd.

IRS...Baaaddd.

Ordered a review of all federal operations to identify and cut wasteful spending and practices...Didn't know, don't care, baaaddd.

A real control freak about allowing journalists access to Oval Office...baaaddd.

Making more loans available to small businesses...Didn't know, don't care, baaaddd.

I could do this for awhile...but do you see the pattern?  There are items where the President can be called out legitimately and their are items that are either purposely or ignorantly ignored or dismissed altogether, that would put some checks in the *good* column.  You know why? Because then the illusion needed to support the legitimacy of the hate and loathing, would then have to shift into the bit more complicated arena of reality of nuance.  He's done things we like and things we don't...and their can't be absolutes with that silly bit of reality in the mix, tisk, tisk.

We can debate policy all day...but the conclusion the he's the "worst President in United States history" (and what actually qualifies a statement like that)...is an opinion at best. And not anything even remotely collaborated by Presidential historians.

applause to you and to EKG. Well said, both of you.

On another msg board (not JPP), someone keeps calling Pres. Obama "the occupier" even though we point out he got over 50% of the popular vote - twice. He's one of those that just screams he's awful no matter what he does.

And you know what? It really discredits any comments from him when he does that.
