oops... question answered.

Quote
Weiner claimed he does not believe he used any government resources, while he "exchanged messages and photos of an explicit nature with about six women over the last three years." Some of those relationships began before his 2010 marriage and some happened, and continued, afterward
.

grrrrrrr of all people this had to happen to..

I love this guy.. I was looking for a Clinton/Weiner ticket once..

grrrrrr

I'm sure Breitbart paid a lot of Koch bucks for the info. Greed, ya know.

No laws were broken, the guy made a big mistake.

Not like Vitter, et al.

Of course, this will ensure the Republicans have a few more months to come up with a jobs bill.

He should do something, because he blabbered for half an hour today about how he's taking responsibility for it. His apology pissed me off.

Again...his lie was to himself. It didn't put us into two unneeded wars, there was no payola, there was no damage done except to an ego.

Let's worry about far more serious shit this countries facing.

No, he had a press junket, where all he did was lie.
Weiner has no credibility anymore, and he is a known liar.
He should do the honorable thing and resign.
I used to really like the guy, but wrong is wrong no matter the letter after their name

Yup, the pile was a lot deeper than imagined...which makes perfect sense now as to why he was doing the 5 D's...when I was think'in, "damn dude, just own up it's you...someone got in your private pecker portfolio...and get it over with."

But nooooooooooooooo...he's gotta go all full of fuckin shit.

I really liked the man, but Nutty's right...he's un-trust worthy crap now.

Well, at least there's not the 5 gallons of salt in the wound, with ironic family values attached.

So...I take it you guys would prefer a better liar ?

Don't they all lie in some fashion ?

Don't you feel as though you're in the middle of a huge game called Divide then Conquer ?

Or is it more of...uh...eh....what ya gonna do...everybody has to belong to a group somewhere,

why not pick the one that is the closest to your benefiting your condition ?

I personally don't care about someones sexual orientation or freak. As long as it's consenting.

Obviously, they do. Perhaps Weiner should have taken some cues from this guy?

Quote
To understand why Andrew Breitbart is obsessing on an erection in some anonymous guy’s underpants, and doing his damndest to inject insinuations into formerly respectable media outlets that Anthony Weiner is sexually harassing an attractive young African American woman, you have to go back in time.

Right-wingers have a disturbing habit of nursing their grievances across generations. They’re still convinced the wrong team won the Civil War, even though, back then, they were on the winning team. Yep, the Republicans led the Union, but they grieve for the Confederacy. And the mother of all contemporary right-wing grievances, believe it or not, is yet another battle they won. They love their grievances so much that they even transform their wins into opportunities to stew and burn with white-hot anger. I call them “sore winners”.

You see, there was this skeezy, low-down damp skidmark of a perv who lied to Congress and got away with it, and was elevated for life to the most unaccountable and untouchable job in the entire federal government, Supreme Court Justice, where he has been, by all accounts, one of the very worst practitioners in the history of that body, where he facilitated the corporate subversion of democracy, filed fraudulent financial disclosure forms, and failed repeatedly to recuse himself in cases where he had known (and sometimes concealed) conflicts of interest. The bad guys won. And they’re still not over it.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you—Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, lying sack of shit.

This, from a HuffPo friend says it better than I:

Quote
Sex scandals didn't keep Clarence Thomas from a lifelong appointment to the Supreme Court. It didn't keep Governor Sanford from completing his term. It didn't prevent Vitter from being elected. It didn't get Ensign to leave his office until he was good and ready to do so. Larry Craig completed his term.

How many of these men confessed their wrongdoing before they were caught, or even admitted their shortcomings immediately when accused (if ever). Senator Weiner seemed very humbled with his apologies to everyone. He didn't just read a prepared statement, but accpeted questions from the press. Most others in this situation, simply read a statement.

I hope he does work hard to earn the trust of his consituents during the remainder of his term; they will be the ones to determine if he has.

I thought it was refreshing to hear someone blame only themselves for their actions, and to recognize all of the individuals who were hurt by his behavior. His apology covered more than most public apologies -unlike the typical "my God and my wife forgives me" so who are you to judge me that we so often hear.”

What a fucking attention whore!

Quote
Conservative media showman Andrew Brietbart took the microphone this afternoon at a press conference scheduled for Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY). TPM's Eric Lach is on scene for the presser and sent these dispatches:

"He was on the side when a few reporters noticed him. Then suddenly swarmed. So then he strolls up to the podium," Lach reports. "I don't know if he got permission or what. Now just ended after someone in back yells "thank you" and he says thank you and gets off stage. "

Breitbart told reporters he feels "vindicated" after the initial attacks on his reporting of the Weiner incident. He said the photos he published today are from a tip they got before the infamous Weiner tweet that eventually led to today's press conference.

"I've yet to meet her," Breitbart said of the woman who allegedly received the shirtless photos of Weiner and passed them along to Breitbart. ABC News is reportedly in contact with the woman and may publish her story later.

"This is a legitimate story," Breitbart said.

Like I said Weiner no has zero credibility and will forever known as sending crotch shots over the internet. Have some dignity and resign, members of his own party will soon be calling for him to resign because he is a liability. I used to like AW, but he has lost my respect.
Weiner's problem are by his own hand. He said there are 6 different chicks and would not deny they are all over age. If he would not have done the 10 days of lying I might have lessened my stance. The lying is what bothers me, not the dick shots.

This is the problem with politics, if Weiner was Boehner than both sides reactions would be opposite.

Weiner/Boehner 2012!

I really, really understand your point, Nutty. But I still must respectfully disagree.

It's not a D/R thing here. Weiner did nothing wrong except make a feeble attempt to escape embarrasment. Why should he resign? Because he lied? Sorry, my friend, that's a flimsy excuse*.

Politicians, Republican and Democrat, have lied every single day they're in office. Is there any difference between Weiner (or for that matter, Boehner) stating "I support the war in Afghanistan." a week ago and then stating "I don't support the war in Afghanistan." today? Should we demand he resign because he's a liar?

*This all reminds me of an embarrasing moment I had a couple of years ago. One, which in a half-assed manner, I did something that I shouldn't have. The reasons why were never revealed, the convoluted thinking behind it were never revealed, and the particulars were never revealed; other than "It's been discussed. It's over."

I made a speech similar to Weiner's but one that was directed only to a few people, ekg amongst them: "I screwed up and I'm sorry." Regardless of those words, I was called a liar and fraud by many of my respected friends, including you.

The human mind is capable of all kinds of stupid shit. Why create such a stir over Weiner's weiner when there's a lot more lies going on in Congress?
