Romney earned it? By firing people. I respect Heinz because, unlike Mittens, she recognizes what the word compassion is. Do you really think Romney wouldn't have given the Mormon church all those millions if he didn't have to? Of course, he could have wanted to in support of their homophobia campaign. So... you are for or against tithing?

Me? I don't care. I'm glad to see it's one type of mandate all these Republican Mormon's don't mind. Well, with Mittens, I guess that's two.

I remember reading the other day about how generous Mitt is when it was revealed that he gave 10% of his blood money to the church. It was all over the right wing websites. Of course, there was no mention of this:President Obama, a Protestant whose most recent church membership was a mainline congregation, Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, gave relatively little to charity a decade ago, but steadily increased his giving as he became more prominent and donated 14 percent of his income in 2010

If Mittens hadn't been groomed by the church to do it, don't you think his greedy ass wouldn't have? I suspect Obama's increase was due more to the added income from his book. As opposed to a MANDATE (see what I did there?) from a church.

does it say how much he donated per his income... IRC he wasn't making millions for awhile there..so what was his donations vs his pre-book income.. in 2000 they were making $240,505 but I don't know how much they donated.. in 2006 they made 900,000+ and they donated $60,307 to charities, or about 6 percent of their gross income. in 2005 they donate $5000, but thats also the year he got the book money and they bought their house.. I guess the 'relatively' in that "relatively little' means relative to Mitt giving $millions.. well the Obama didn't have millions and when they did, they increased their donation to 14%... kinda like the article says.. he always donated what he could and when he started to make more money, he started to donate more.. so the problem you have with this what Mike?

I did see what you did there, I just didn't think it was that clever. Most Christian denominations also have a mandate to tithe. So I don't see what your point is supposed to be. Anyway the article gives percentages of income, not dollar amounts, so Obama could just as easily give 14% 20 years ago, regardless of his income. But I think usually with politicians they only contribute to charity or what have you when they know the amount is going to be disclosed. Then they go from selfish cheapskates to generous benefactors, like Kerry and Biden. Or Obama.

how do you figure.. if he was making 100,000 a year 20 years ago.. it's a hell of alot harder to give 14%/$14,000.. but when you start to make more money and can breath a little easier, then you can donate more.. I mean, that's not even hard to figure out.. the degree you will go to to insult Obama is unlimited isn't it.. wow...

Someday, maybe, he'll tell us exactly why he hates Obama. Other than the obvious reason, of course.

Oh, I don't think 'black' has anything to do with it... I think it's just the (D) after his name.. he's bought into the Marxist,America-apologizing,gun-taking,weak-kneed, socialist boogey man his party has invented..

If this is what's brought to the surface (not just here, but all over the net) when a man Named Barrack Hussein Obama becomes President...I say we go for the full monty and see what else we can dig up under Americas belly by making our next two Presidents (after Obama's second term) an openly gay person and a woman.
Lets see if this fucker pops!
